Use

The Tenga eggs are handheld masturbation aids for men. They are meant to be single-use disposable toys, but we've found that they can be washed and reused a couple of times. Couples can also make use of these for hand-job aids. Women could also cover a vibrator with a reversed egg for some added texture or for hygienic reasons.

The small size and shape makes it eggs-tremely (sorry, couldn't help myself) discreet, and the super stretchy material will allow it to fit anyone of any size. As such, it's great for travelling and gift-giving.

It comes packaged ready to be used anywhere, any time. With the provided Egg Lotion (lubricant) and ease of use, it's a simple no-muss, no-fuss toy that any man can enjoy.

Here are the ingredients in the Egg Lotion as listed on the packaging:
Water, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium polyacrylate, Methylparaben.

Anyone with sensitivities to these ingredients can use their own favorite lubricant instead. The sample packet does contain ample lube. You won't run the risk of not having enough. You could use it again if reusing the Egg. You can also use this lube as you would any other water-based lubricant. It would be fine for sex, or with other toys. Note that it does contain glycerin and parabens.

Add variety to your regime. Select from among 6 different textures, including but not limited to Twister, Stepper, Clicker, Spider, Silky, and Wavy. Tenga also comes out with special edition Eggs such as the Lovers currently featured on their site. Caution: Once you've tried one, you may be tempted to collect them all.

Material / Texture

The Egg is made of elastomer. This ranks at a 7 on Eden's safety scale. It is a porous material and can't be completely sanitized. Eden has these listed on the product page as being silicone, so I was rather disappointed to find out otherwise. I took the necessary precautions, and flame tested the toy to be sure that my information was correct. Do not try this at home. Here are my results:
burn test

The toy itself is super plushy. It's got that "stress ball" squish to it. It is very silky and soft to the touch. If you were to reuse this, you would want to wash it before use to get rid of the lint it attracts.

The external part of all the Eggs is smooth with no texture at all. We purchased the Twister which has a raised bump inside at the very tip and a series of thin vertical waves. Each raised line of the vertical wave pattern has 4 segments for added texture. We later purchased the Stepper which has the same raised bump at the tip and half-circles arranged in opposite directions all over the inside of the egg.

The Egg Lotion lathers up a little with friction and has a thick, gel-like consistency. Here is a picture to show just how thick and stringy it is.
Egg lotion

Both the lube and Egg smell terrible. The smell is rather strong and stays on your fingers after touching it. It smells a lot like the noise putty I had as a kid. You know, the stuff that made a fart sound when you pushed it into its container. My partner didn't mind the smell during use, but it did bother my sensitive nose.
    • Strong odor

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The Egg is shaped like, well, an egg that's been hollowed out with a hole at the base. It weighs 48g, essentially nothing. The shell case has a circumference of 6.5". It stands roughly 2.5" tall and measures about 2" wide. This small size and round shape is perfect for throwing in a bag or suitcase for travel.

It fits over the head of the penis and can then be pulled down to stimulate the rest of the shaft. The loose and cushion-y fit allows pressure to be distributed wherever you like with your hand. The stretchy quality of the material will suit any size, so no worries there. Even after being stretched out to its limit, the Egg can quickly regain its small shape and easily conforms to any man.

The next couple pictures really demonstrate just how much the material will stretch.

    • Discreet look/design
    • Will fit most people

Care and Maintenance

This is a plastic product that can be recycled depending on where you live. You can also toss it in the trash when your done. There's no maintenance or care really.

Tenga doesn't suggest reusing the Eggs, but it can be done. The material is fragile, but so long as it remains intact, you can wash and reuse it. Our Egg ended up getting really sticky and turned a yellowish, off-white color after washing it twice, so we decided it best to just throw it out. Warm water and soap or toy cleaner will work for cleanings. This material, however, cannot be boiled and therefore can't be completely sanitized. Do not share the Eggs unless you're using them with condoms as they are porous and will harbour bacteria. Honestly though, tell your friends to just get their own. They won't be sorry.

For storage, put it back in its shell when it's dry and stash it away for next time.

The lube provided is water-based, but elastomer is compatible with both silicone and water-based lubes should you choose to swap it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

A plastic shrink-wrap wrapper covers the hard, white shell in which the Egg is encased. Pull the designated tear tab to remove it.

The internal texture is drawn over the plastic wrap. The front says "Easy Beat Egg" and "Tenga New Adult Concept." Also the back shows a diagram of how to use the Egg, and says things like "Spirals to squeeze you all over" for the Twister, and "Super stretch sensations for men." There is also an "over 18" symbol. This makes it less discreet but only upon close inspection. Removing the shrink wrap reveals a plain, white egg like an easter egg, although someone could open it up expecting to find chocolate or candies and find something totally different!

A picture of the back of the Stepper is shown below.

The back also has brief instructions to apply lubrication and warns against irritation or discomfort.

Crack open the shell, and you'll find a plastic finger-like tube. This tube holds the lube sample, keeping it from puncturing the Egg.

The instructions on the lube packet are all in Japanese, but the instructional diagram and simple design of the toy is enough to get you going.

The shell is a good way to store the Egg after use should you choose to wash it and reuse it.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable

Experience

For our first try with the Egg, I put about a third of the lube packet into the egg and squished it around. I feared that wouldn't be enough, but it turned out to be plenty as there was lube leaking all down my partner's shaft. Needless to say, the hype seemed to be better than the experience. My partner said that, for the most part, he didn't feel much by way of texture, and other times he felt numb from the intensity. Trial 1 verdict: Meh.

For me, it was a little awkward using this on my partner. Since he is uncut, the Egg turned it into a two-hand job. I wasn't too sure what I was doing, or if I was doing it right, and he wasn't saying much either.

We blamed the Egg Lotion for ruining the fun, so we decided to swap it for our own lube. Doing so pretty much cancelled out the negative aspects from the first experience. This time he was able to feel the textures and really enjoy them. My partner liked that the Egg felt soft and more realistic than a hand. I still used one hand to hold the base of his penis and the other hand to stroke the Egg up and down, but this time was much more fun for me as I watched his reactions.

We later purchased another Egg with the Stepper texture. This one seemed to suit my partner much better than the Twister had. For this one, he put on a simple silicone cock ring. That way I was able to use one hand to maneuver the Egg over his shaft, leaving the other hand free to travel over other parts of his body. The cock ring not only made him more sensitive to the textures, but it held down his skin.

I also received stellar responses from my partner by adding a twisting motion while thrusting the Egg up and down.

The lubricant that's included is really awful. My partner is definitely interested in the other textures offered, but we will be tossing those sample packets right where they belong and using our own lubricant. In a pinch, or when traveling, I suppose it's better than nothing. The smell is nauseating too. The Egg smells relatively strong, but the lube is overpowering. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the stink and bad lube.

We will get more in the future because they allow my partner to try out different textures and find out what he likes best before we invest in a pricier toy for him such as a Tenga Flip Hole. Unfortunately, they won't likely become staples in our collection.

seems like a strange product to me. i think i'd rather see my wife's hands on me...or my own. we are men. we are not picky...as long as there is the right amount of friction. thanks for the info. love your detail. i have always wondered about the stroker products. seems a waste, especialy if you have a beautiful partner...jesus i miss hockey.
