Velveteen hand creme - hand cream discontinued by Cake Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

Treat yourself to nice soft hands with the Velveteen Hand Crème. It absorbs well and you don’t need to worry about leaving fingerprints on everything you touch.

I have the Coconut / Vanilla scent, but you can get It’s a Slice, Raspberry kiss / Vanilla, or Unscented if none of those appeal to you. It should only be used on the hands, but I don’t see why it can’t be used on the feet.

Cake Beauty uses primarily natural ingredients, and it doesn’t contain anything harsh, so people with sensitive skin will be able to use this. Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Cetyl alcohol, Glyceryl stearate, Cetearyl alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Dimethicone, Stearic acid, Althaea officinalis (marchmallow) extract, Milk Lipid, Mangifera indica (Mango) seed butter, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl glycol, Sorbic acid, Carbomer, Sodium hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA.

It feels like like a body lotion. It’s fairly thick and requires a bit of squeezing in order to get some out of the tube. The consistency is very smooth which spreads around nicely. Either my hands are very dry or this absorbs super quickly. My hands never feel greasy when I apply this, so I never feel like I need to wash it off. There’s absolutely no residue to worry about. It has a flip cap design which makes for easy dispensing.

The Coconut / Vanilla smells just as expected. It reminds me of a vanilla cake. The smell is sweet but very pleasant. I love to reapply this just to smell the scent. It’s not meant for ingestion.

This crème works amazingly well as a hand cream. It doesn’t make my hands extremely soft like my Elizabeth Arden hand cream, but it’s not greasy like the Principessa Beauty one either.

The 3.4 ounce tube doesn’t come with any extra packaging since all the information is right on the tube. It’s definitely worth the price tag. I expect mine will last quite a while, and I think it would be a nice addition to a gift basket.
