Vanilla Raspberry Decadence.

Cake's Milk Made Velveteen Hand Creme is a luxurious lotion meant to pamper and moisturize your paws to perfection. Velveteen Hand Creme is intended for everyday use, after washing hands or just when hands need a little pick me up. This Creme seems to be intended for individuals who want a higher end lotion specifically for hands. Eden Fantasys offers 4 different scent option of this hand creme. For individuals who are sensitive to scents and like unscented there is even an unscented version.

The Velveteen Hand Cream has a slippery texture when first applied to the skin. It is not thick, oily, or watery. Once rubbed in it absorbs pretty quickly into the skin. When I tried the creme on my arm it absorbed all the way and left no residue in about one minute. On my hands it seems to take a lot longer to absorb and leaves a somewhat lotion-y feeling especially between the fingers and on the fingertips. A pea-sized dollop will stay in place and isn't going to slip off of your hand before you can rub it in. It also comes out of the tube very easily.

A few months ago I purchased the Milk Made Hand Buffer from Eden and it has the same raspberry vanilla scent as this hand creme. My hand buffer definitely leaves a stronger scent on the hands than this creme does. I have to put my hand very close to my nose to smell the scent. I like that because I don't want to be smelling my hands for hours and get a headache from a strong scent.

When I smell this scent I think of vanilla, almond extract, and sugary fruit that has been baked into a pastry. It is actually a pretty nice scent, very distinctive and something I have never smelt before I purchased a Cake product. I like that it isn't overpowering and smells pretty and not cheap. I noticed that some people on Eden have described it as a chemical-ish fruit smell like a child's lotion would smell like, but I don't pick up on that at all. It is a unique scent, but I think it is suitable for grownups!

I am a personal fan of hand cremes and keep them all over the place because my hands get dry all day long. Like all hand cremes it needs to be applied a few times a day. I have noticed that this creme makes my hands look so silky and smooth and also makes my cuticles look very nice. I like the scent, and quality of the creme. An improvement that I would like would be for the creme to become less sticky after application. It only becomes slightly sticky especially between the fingers. It is just enough to be noticeable.

I had this hand creme in the unscented variety added to my next to purchase list and really wanted to try it out. Today I was in TJ Maxx and found a 1oz tube of the hand creme in the vanilla milk and baked raspberry scent. My tube is smaller than the ones sold on Eden but it was on CLEARANCE for $3!! I am a super bargain hunter and I decided I wanted to try a little bottle before spending more for a larger one. I am very impressed and will buy more off of Eden of course!

This is the second Cake product I have tried out so far. I guess it makes a point that I am coming back for more! I love my hand buffer that I mentioned earlier and enjoy using it as a special treat on my hands. This creme is also a special treat that I am glad to have in my purse! I feel like a pampered princess every time I use it.
