Milk Does A Body Good!!

If you suffer from dry skin or just like to have soft hands, then Cake Beauty's Velveteen Hand Creme is for you. It's available in four scents to choose from (Unscented, Raspberry/Vanilla, It's A Slice, Coconut/Vanilla) and is paraben free! Like a lot of other hand lotions, this does contain glycerin, so keep this product away from areas that may be irritated by that ingredient.

The Hand Creme is thick and smooth with no grains or textures which is a major plus for me. It easily squeezes from the tube and does not run down your skin. Because of its thickness, only a small amount is needed and it rubs nicely into skin with no greasiness or stickiness. It is great for those with dry skin. I put it on my legs because they are so dried out all the time.

The Velveteen Hand Creme in the Milk Made scent is very sweet and available in many other of Cake Beauty's products. The Milk Made scent is described as vanilla milk and baked raspberry. And that's exactly what it smells like, vanilla and berries. It is a very pleasant smell to me, but may be overwhelming to others.

You only need a very small amount of the product, the scent is soft and lingers nicely on your skin. After rubbing the lotion into my skin, the scent was still noticeable but not too overpowering like something from say Bath and Body Works or Vitoria's Secret (both of those stores have heavily scented products). If I applied a very tiny amount, I could only barely detect the smell after 10 minutes. A larger amount of the product seems to allow the scent to last a bit longer.

This is an external use only product, do no ingest. I didn't taste this nor do I ever plan to, and I don't suggest you ingest it either.

As I mentioned earlier, only a small amount of the hand lotion is needed to thoroughly moisturize hands. If using on elbows, arms, knees, or something else of course a bit more creme might be needed. It rubbed in very easily, absorbed quickly and didn't leave my hands greasy or oily feeling at all which is a major plus on my list. I wish the scent was just a tad stronger and lasted longer but it nothing that would cause me to like it any less. The creme left my skin soft for quite a while. My hands stayed soft for a while and after washing them in the shower, still had a soft feeling to them, and didn't really need another application. Unless you have unbearably dry skin only one application is necessary for a while.

The Velveteen Hand Creme comes in a simple, white squeeze tube with a flip top lid. The tube holds 3.4 fluid ounces of product and can easily be opened with one hand which is a plus if you're applying this to someone else. The tube doesn't leak which makes it good for traveling or carried in a purse/bag. The tube is also nice enough to give as a gift or use as a stocking stuffer.
