Velveteen hand creme - hand cream by Cake Beauty - review by bluekaren

This hand creme is designed for everyone. It is an all-purpose moisturizer minus the coloring, perfumes, and allergens. I can pair this up with any of my perfumes because it promises not to leave a conflicting scent. I let my man use it as well. It rubs into my skins and leaves behind a moisturized feeling. I can take this product anywhere and even leave it out at work. I use this hand creme daily for my hands and elbows. After shaving, I apply this creme to my legs and have had no sensitivity reaction. No bumps and no shaving rash on my legs. I think it works great!

The hand creme comes out of the tube white and a bit thick. It is not runny or gloppy like some I have used. I put a dime sized dollop on my fingers, which is enough to cover my hands and a bit of my forearms. It has a slick, almost silky feel to it. It makes my skin feel smooth and hydrated. It seems to last a few hours or at least until my next hand washing. I wash my hands many times a day. I am a nurse and my hands are constantly dry; my finger tips usually crack during the winter. I haven't suffered any cracking this winter.

The texture actually makes me think of face creme, something I put on my face every night. It is cool and leaves my skin feeling good. It absorbs into the skin nicely and leaves behind skin that feels silky smooth.

Although this is unscented, it does have a slight scent. I couldn't put my finger on the scent; my daughter thought it had a slight coconut scent. It is very faint and I have to put my nose right up to the skin to detect the smell at all. The has a slight bit of face creme scent. One thing I love about it is that it doesn't smell overly feminine. I don't like wearing perfume-laden cremes that don't work for hydrating my skin. This creme can be worn on anybody, without discrimination to sex. It doesn't leave a taste on the skin at all once it is applied.

The ingredients of this product are: Water/Eau (Aqua), Glycerin, Cetyl alcohol, Glyceryl stearate, Cetearyl alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Dimethicone, Stearic acid, Althaea officinalis (marshmallow) extract, Milk Lipid, Mangifera indica (Mango) seed butter, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl glycol, Sorbic acid, Carbomer, Sodium hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA

No ingredients add flavor or perfume smell to this hand creme.

The hand creme leaves my skin feeling nourished for hours. The formula is vitamin packed to help smooth and protect you hands. I have no complaints about the performance of this hand creme. I found my man using it on his hands as well. He likes that it has no scent like my other "girly" lotions. The best part about this product is the fact that it really works. It will leave your skin feeling smooth and soft without all the extra additives in most hand cremes/lotions. It absorbs into the skin and leaves a silky feeling behind. It doesn't leave a greasy residue that will leave your hands feeling dirty either.

The packaging for this product is feminine, but not overly flowery.
