Astroglide X silicone lubricant by BioFilm - review by Kiwi

Cyclomethicone and Cyclopentasiloxane are the two ingredients in Astroglide X. I don't think these are parabens, so as far as I know any allergy concerns should be assuaged. It is a silicone lubricant, so be careful not to use it with any silicone toys as it could damage them.

I have used this lubricant with hard plastic toys, for manual stimulation (hand jobs), oral sex, and vaginal intercourse. It has worked great in all of the above cases, except for oral sex. My experience in that department is less that the product doesn't work well, and more that it tastes like oil, which is kind of gross. I wouldn't recommend it for this use.

I've never used it in water. But it should work, as silicone is somewhat water resistant.

This was the first silicone lubricant I'd ever tried. I bought it because it had gotten some great reviews, and I was looking for a lubricant to live at my place. Astroglide X lived up to the high expectations I had set for it. I sincerely recommend this product if you are looking for a silicone based lubricant. It's not thick (I hate thick lubes), and it lasts a super long time, which is awesome. The only downside is, if you don't exert a little effort to get it off, you'll have super oily private parts for the rest of the day.

The texture is relatively thin. It is very easy to pour, and will spill if you aren't careful to close the top. I suppose I would describe the texture as oily; it is not at all sticky. It feels great, almost soft.

I have used this product for oral sex. I wouldn't recommend it for this use. It tastes gross in a way that I can't quite put my finger on. It is not a food like taste, and afterward the inside of my mouth felt like it was coated in olive oil. No fun. On the bright side, it doesn't smell at all.

This stuff is awesome. It lasts for a long time, so constant reapplication is not necessary. It comes off with some warm water and soap. This can be a bit of a hassle. But for the velvety feeling you get from using this lube, washing it off is totally worth it.

The lube comes in a 2.3 oz silver plastic bottle with a black flip top. There are black and purple labels on both the front and back of the flat, cylindrical bottle. The label on the front says Astroglide X in large purple ornamental letters, and there is small writing on the back label with ingredients, instructions, etc. It doesn't scream sex, but Astroglide is a recognizable brand of personal lubricant, and most people would recognize it if you left it out. It does travel well because of the small bottle, and a little goes a long way, so it lasts for a while.

I really liked the velvety feel of this product.
