I like how when we use Astroglide for sex that it lasts the entire time. With water based lubes we tend to have to reapply it, especially on my clit. It does not have much of a smell and feels fairly similar to water based lube but is a bit slicker. I’ve never really given/received oral after using this lubricant, so I can't comment on the taste. I can be sensitive to latex and have had no problem with this lube and using this lube with non-latex condoms (Skyn). The problem with it is that it is hard to remove from your hands so it might get on the sheets. We don't have shower sex too often but this does work a lot better for that purpose than water-based lubes.

I do not like the feeling of the lube post-sex. It sometimes mixes with my natural lubrication and feels a little weird and looks gross. I haven't had this problem with water-based lubes. It's not a huge deal; I just make sure to clean up shortly after sex.

We've found that it does seem to stain the sheets a little. Not too noticeable but they look "wet" even after dried, so be careful. The bottle tends to leak so we keep it in a plastic bag which gets slippery and all over your hands when used. I've also found it tends to "run" and can get on the sheets that way so if you’re concerned, throw down a towel or something.

I think I prefer the feel of water-based lubes to silicone but it is nice not having to constantly reapply. Also, be careful if using it with certain toys. Make sure it absolutely is okay to use with the toy. I would recommend this lube for those looking for a longer lasting alternative to water based lubes.
