Great product for the price
This is a great lube for anyone wanting to do solo toys, or with other people. I recommand this for anal, with it's thick, gooey slow moving and long lasting. Clean up is a breeze and just a great buy.Published: July 20, 2008

I have gotten into toys and well with any toys you need lube. Maximus is a great lub for well anything sex related. It is slick, easy to use and just a great product.
The first thing I notice about this lube is the bottle. It is clean, clear and could look like any common house hold product. Which is great for me since I want to keep my hobby a secret. It has an easy to use pump. With it's long neck, which is easy to get a little or a lot out, depending on your need.
When I pumped some out, it was gooey and moved slowly. Which is great cause I use this for anal play. It's nice cause I can put it there and not worry about it not sliding out or around. This lube is long lasting, it doesn't dry up but doesn't stay wet. It kind of gets sticky but still will works like a charm. I have had this in me for an hour and still it works. It has a bit of a smell, it's not horrible or nice, just a smell. However, you have to get close to smell it.
Clean up is so simple. Since it's water base, just some soap and water and it comes right off. One problem though, when not work in the shower, since it will wash away but will work for all toys. Which is nice to know you don't have to worry about it ruining that new toy.
Over all, this is a wonderful lube. I would recommend Maximus to anyone for solo toys to partner This is a wonderful product and great, great for anal. Wish it worked in the shower and was cheaper but still worth the money. Just do yourself a favor, get this lub.

I was using the Booty bumper kit and I got the little pink one in me. I use a good amount of lube, not too much or too little. I underestimated how slick and good this was. The toy has a flimsy bass, which i use to not . I sat down, wanting to get use to the feeling and try it staying in for a while. Well I sat down and started to watch tv.
Cause it has so of a flimsy of a bass and how slick this stuff is. The toy went into me. I mean all the way in. I didn't feel it anymore and thought it feel out. I looked around and couldn't find it. I finally realize it was in me. I started to freak out and all I could say was "It's in my ass, It's in my ass." I finally relax, sat at the toilet and got it out. I did then washed it and clean it.
I learned two things, One, be more careful with this lube and the flimsy basses. Two, time to try the bigger toy. Hahaha, I hope this helps out.

I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?

I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.

Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.
Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.
I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me. -
This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.

It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5
I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad -

Odd that this got sticky for you, how much of it did you use for this to happen? I have never had it get sticky for me, but I try to use small amounts of it. I really love this lube. It is awesome for everything besides oral. I don't really notice the smell, but other people have mentioned it at well. Maximus is truly an awesome lube, especially for anal.
Glad that thing came out for you. It would be really embarrassing to go to the hospital to get it removed, especially when they discovered it was a little pink penis. lol I sure hope nothing gets "lost" again.
I've never known this to get sticky, either, but then I've never used as much of it as one would probably use for anal play.
And scary story about your toy incident! An exellent reminder that even toys that are "designed" for anal play are not always going to be safe!

Yikes! As Dame Demi stated, you should never use anything in your butt that isn't designed to go in your butt!

Yeah it was scary but afterwards I was laughing. And for Oggins And Dame Demi, that toy is design to go in my ass... just not that far haha.
Hm, that's a testament both to the power if this lube and the danger of playing with small toys anally (even ones intended for that purpose, if they aren't designed well). Glad you could work that out yourself.
