Maximus - lubricant by Bodywise Limited - review by Miss Nessa

I admit, the ONLY reason I decided to give this lube a try was because of all the reviews. There are well over 100 reviews with more then half of them being perfect reviews. I was dying to see what all the hype was about. I mean it's only lube right? Well I was wrong, this is the BEST water based lube I have ever used. Maximus lube is perfect for vaginal as well as anal use. This product will work for anyone doesn't matter what you are into you will enjoy this. You can use this lube for solo use or use with your partner. You can use it for penetrative sex of any kind.

The only allergy concerns I can see is the fact that it's filled with Parabens, although parabens are the most widely used preservatives in personal care products; they stop fungus, bacteria and other microbes from growing. The problem comes in because the rising incidence of breast cancer linked in part to the fact that parabens, which have a weak ability to mimic estrogen. They have been found in breast cancer tumors. There are a few cases in which they think they have linked perabens to cancer. There is also rumored that parabens can maybe/ could effect the developmental of children and adults. It's also stated that if you don't have a history of breast cancer in your family the likely hood of perabens effecting you are almost impossible.

Maximus is by the thickest water based lube I've ever used. The thickness reminds me of silicone lube. I'm personally a huge fan of thick lube, because then I have to use less of it. The texture is thick and smooth feeling. The bottle does have a pump top, so when you are apply lube it doesn't make a mess and it's extremely easy to pour. I can see down the line that maybe pumping the lube directly onto your body maybe a little difficult as you run out of lube.

Maximus lube does stay in place it isn't runny; this is perfect when using it for anal use. You don't have to worry about it dripping off or running down your leg before you can get busy. The lube doesn't feel greasy at all, the lube feels very slick. This is perfect because it makes penetration very easy. When I pumped a small amount onto my hand it stayed in place, but I had to flop my hand to the other side to make it run, and at that it was a very slow run.

The Maximus lube doesn't have any type of smell at all. Neither my boyfriend nor I noticed a smell to it. You won't smell it in the room after the lube has been put away. The maximus lube also doesn't have a taste. I did try and taste it, but I didn't' taste much of anything. I'd recommend this to those who are sensitive to taste or smell. Once it's absorbed into the skin it leaves your skin feeling moisturized. It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry or tacky.

When it came down to using it Maximus did his job. I used about quarter sized amount and I didn't have to reapply. I was actually surprised at this. Normally during sexual activity I do need to reapply, but with this I didn't have to do it. It didn't try up quickly during use either. When it came to washing it off I wasn't able just to use a dry cloth. I did have to wet the cloth to clean up. I think if I would have used more I would have had to jump into the shower. My number one favorite thing about this lube is how thick it is for a water based lube. This lube is perfect for anal play because it doesn't dry up so fast.

I think my boyfriend would kill me if he knew I was posting this information. He loved the texture of this lube, he love how thick it was, and how we didn't have to keep stopping to reapply it. What he didn't like was that the fact he had a little bit longer of a cleanup then I did. This is because my guy happens to be uncircumcised. He had to put more work into cleaning because of that reason. He said it isn't enough to make him not use it; it’s just a little annoying. Another reason why he loves this lube is because he’s diabetic and because of it he is extremely prone to yeast infection and because this is Glycerin free he can use this without a care.

The Maxumus lube doesn't come inside of any special type of package. Your lube is in a clear bottle. There is a protection strip on it, but if that strip has been broken and it wasn't you who broke it. I would contact where you go it and ask for a replacement if possible. The bottle is discreet and it won't draw any attention. The bottle is clear and it's covered with black writing.



The bottle does have some information but is useful on the back. The only thing that stands out about this is the size; you get a huge 8oz bottle. I can see this bottle lasting a very long time. The bottle doesn't state any specified direction. You should be generous and apply as much as you need. When you aren't using the lube the top locks and keeps it from spilling during travel. You don't have to worry about a mess. Although the bottle is rather large, it can still be used when traveling.

Before applying it to a large area of skin, you should do a spot test, and watch for any type of reaction. If you notice discomfort when using it such as burning or irritation. You should automatically stop use.
