The sexiest thing I own

I love the retro look of this corset and I always feel totally sexy while wearing it. It's the most expensive piece of lingerie I own but it's also sexiest and the most well made.

extremely useful review
Construction:

This corset is made from black mesh with flocked polka dots. It's 82% nylon and 18% spandex. The mesh is not a true dark black, it almost looks faded when put next to other black clothing. It's a bit sheer when held up, but when worn you can't see through the material. There are 11 pieces of plastic boning which are covered on the front with stripes of velvet. It is trimmed with ruffles and has 3 large, satin bows. The cups are lined with a thin layer of foam, but are not padded. There is no underwire. There is a wide band of elastic on the inside of the corset at the waistline that helps to cinch in the waist. It has a hook and eye closure with 2 rows of hooks which makes it slightly adjustable. There are removable garters with metal closures.

Fit:

I wasn't sure whether I should purchase a small or medium. I'm 36-28-38 which puts me at the top of the small range or at the bottom of the medium range. I went with the medium and I'm pretty happy with how it fits, but I think a corset should lift and enhance the breasts and mine doesn't do that for me. I'm a 34 B and the medium is supposed to fit a B cup but I think it would fit best on a C cup. It does fit nicely through the body though, and while it doesn't provide a lot of shaping it emphasizes the hourglass shape of my torso. A size small would have acted more as a functional corset but probably would have been difficult to move around in. It is 15" long in the center and ends on my hips, right above the top of my panties.

Care:

Usually I wash my lingerie on the delicate cycle in a lingerie bag, but I wouldn't want to take any chances with this corset. It should be hand washed and laid flat to dry. I have not actually washed mine yet. I'm trying to avoid it until I need to.

Experience:

I paired this corset with backseam stockings, black pumps, and a feathered headband for a retro, pinup girl look. I wanted to surprise my partner which meant I had to put the corset on by myself. I put it on backwards, fastened the hooks, then slowly turned it around. I put a thong on over my garters so that it could be easily removed. My partner thought I looked really sexy and loves when I wear lingerie during sex, but he didn't like not having any access to my breasts and the fact that it restricted my movements a little. I can stand or lay in it with no problems, but it's uncomfortable when I sit down or try to bend my waist.

I removed the bottom 2 bows, but I wouldn't really recommend this. A lot of bows are attached by a couple of stitches and are easy to snip off but these ones are really on there. I used a seam ripper and tried to be very careful, but the mesh still looks a little damaged where the bows used to be.
Follow-up commentary
I still really like this corset, but it has gotten damaged and I've only worn it twice. The lining of one of the cups has torn. This is probably due to the way I put it on backwards then twist it around. Luckily it's not noticeable when I'm weearing the corset, but I plan to treat it as delicately as possible in the future to avoid further tearing.

This is very nice! I wish I could pull this off but I dont think it would be suitable for my short waist.
    Thanks for the review.

Appreciate the review. I love the Coquette line but I always go up one size despite the size chart. I am 34-25-34 and a B cup, which should be a def small but the med in their line seems to fit me best except for my boobs. So.... I think that they would probably disappear in this outfit but I love the look!
I tried to gently modify one outfit and I ruined it, so now for me, whatever is....is.

It is a cute corset. I wish it had more breast support too.

This one sound a lot like the one I did on the bow corset [https://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/sexy-lingerie/glad-i-got-the-next-size-down] and I got the size down and I'm right at where you are at with size, so I get what you are saying about that! I'm looking at getting this one as well, so thanks for the review!

@Shellz31 - I was worried about the length as well but it ended up being perfect. I'm 5'4" and I thought it looked pretty long on the model, and models are usually a lot taller than I am. But she is wearing hers a few inches lower than I wear mine, probably since she has larger breasts that end farther down on her body. Mine rides a few inches higher, ending slightly above the top of my panties, like is shown in the mannequin picture.

@ Liz2 I have some mediums that fit and some smalls that fit but sometimes I get a small that's too small or a medium that's too big so I always have a hard time deciding which one to get when I'm buying Coquette.

I love mine too! It does enhance my breasts, but not as much as I'd like.

That's a bit disappointing that the black looks faded and that there is no underwire/push up/support in the chest. It is so pretty though!
  • Contributor: Coralbell
I think it's just because it's mesh. It doesn't look faded on it's own, but if I put it beside something else that's pitch black it doesn't match.

this seems a little to delicate (at least for my taste i'd be pretty upset if I only wore it 2x before something tore)
