A Twist on Tradition

The Twisted Hearts Seduction vibrator is a very cute toy that would be great for a first vibrator. It's made of body safe materials and is a nice massager for external stimulation. It has milder, buzzy vibrations and wouldn't be for those looking for strong vibrations.

Use

The Twisted Hearts Seduction vibrator is a cute little thing. It's marketed as a 'massager' and I am inclined to believe that it's for external stimulation only. It's rather large for a straight clit vibe, but it's also short for an insertable. However, judging from it's protrusion near the head, I surmised it must be for external stimulation only. It's a very thick toy to begin with and the little nub makes it quite painful to insert.

This is a toy that's touted as being 'designed by women for women'. It certainly is pretty. It has an unusual shape, sort of like two halves of a heart with one flipped upside down. It's designed quite well, but it's just not very strong. If you do not need a great deal of power to climax and you enjoy broader stimulation, then this would be a wonderful toy that's great to use anywhere. It is very user friendly.

Material / Texture

The Twisted Hearts's body is made from phthalate free TPR silicone. The base is made of plastic. Both materials are body safe, however TPR silicone is not 100% nonporous and can not be sterilized. The material is firm, but the exterior is quite plush. You can make indentations on the body of the vibrator, but they won't stay very long. It feels quite rubbery and has a fair amount of drag to it, but there is no texture--it's very smooth.

There was a slight rubbery smell to the toy right out of the box, however after washing it a few times, the smell has mostly dissipated. There is no taste to this toy.

    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

I'm conflicted about the design of the toy. Aesthetically, it is a very nice toy. It has a nice color--mine is bright red with a pink base. The upside down heart design is unique and visually appealing. It is a very discreet toy, visually. It is not phallic at all. It's a very very pretty toy, but practically, the design just wasn't that great. It's rather big and bulky for a clitoral vibrator, which makes it difficult to use with a partner during intercourse, but nice and substantial for stimulating different parts of the body. For me the size wasn't a huge deterrence--at least not for a external vibrator. But, those who enjoy pink point stimulation may find that the head is too broad for them. It's a huge 1 5/8 inches in diameter!

My conclusion that this toy is designed for external stimulation only is based on the odd nub placement. I tried to insert the toy, but the large diameter plus the first nub made it painful. You can certainly try inserting this toy, but be warned, this is a THICK toy with a protrusion near the head. I believe that the nub is there for aesthetics, but if you are so inclined, feel free to try using it for g spot stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are controlled by a nice dial base which is easy enough to use. If you twist off the base you will find the battery compartment, sealed with an o ring. The toy is waterproof and withstood both my shower test and bath test quite well. There is no leakage as far as I can tell.

The noise level isn't too bad. It is fairly loud and would be heard under covers, but not loud enough to be heard through a door. It's not wand vibrator loud or overpoweringly loud, but it is most definitely not quiet.

The vibrations themselves are not very impressive. They are moderately strong and buzzy. I personally found that the vibrations too buzzy to really do much for me. But for someone who doesn't mind buzzy vibrations, this may just do the trick. It certainly would be a great introduction to the world of vibrating sex toys for a beginner, but it probably won't be strong enough for those who have a clit o steel.

Care and Maintenance

The toy is easy enough to clean, soap and water or toy cleaner will do the trick. Being waterproof, you can just wash it under a sink if you as long as the base is securely twisted. It is not, however, sterilizable. It is a huge lint collector though, so storing this one might be a bit of a pain. But cleaning it is easy and it can be dusted with a bit of corn starch to counteract its stickiness.

The vibrator is compatible with water based lubes only.

Packaging

The packaging was cute It comes in a plastic, see through box. It was very professional with no naked porn stars (yay). The package is not that great for long term storage if you use the toy a lot, but it is pretty sturdy for a plastic box.
Follow-up commentary
I really haven't found much use for this one. It's really cute and all, but right not it's sitting in the bottom of my sex drawer. Unfortunately, the moderate vibrations just don't cut it for my Hitachi loving clit. That plus the lack of pin point stimulation really don't do it for me.

Awesome review and video! I got mine for a free gift and have yet to try it. Doesn't sound like it would be for me either. Thanks for the info on this one!

    • I had two of these that I hadn't used before and I got around to opening one and there was some damage to the toy. It looked partially melted coming straight out of the box as if someone had poured silicon lube on a side of it. So I went to open the other one I had and the same thing was happening to the other. My sub had one of these too and his was affected with the same thing. Could this have possible been a bad batch [we got them from when they were giving them out as free gifts with any order] Has anyone else had this problem with this toy?
    • I haven't had any problems with mine, but I have heard of a lot of people having issues with this toy.

  • Using unconventionally designed toys.
    • I appreciate being creative as much as any other toy user, but sometimes I just want unusual products to come with suggestions in the style of airplane emergency cards. Just a nice visual rundown of possible uses and positions. I have some graphic design skills, maybe that's my calling?
    • Some toys do; it really depends on the toy. I know The Cone did have some illustrations with it - as did the Joya toys. Some don't, though, but reviews are usually pretty good at talking about how they used it, and you can usually get some good ideas from those!
    • Good thought! I remember loving the little suggested use icons when I first got my Cone.

    • Has anyone tried inserting it? it is kind of huge.

I actually thought of it as non-insertable. According to the description, however, "only about an inch of the wide tip is comfortably insertable".
