Not So Enchanted to Meet You

I wanted to love this toy, but it's just too weak and buzzy for me. I will still use it for foreplay or teasing of the clitoris and erogenous zones, however. The price and portability make it great to try out. I think beginners will love this piece.

Use

The Enchanted Crystals is great for clitoral stimulation, as well as stimulation of the erogenous zones. Being so short, I wouldn't recommend it for anal insertion. While there is a bulbous handle that could act as a flared base, it isn’t larger than the head of the toy and could get lost inside if your muscles are strong enough.

It is a very quiet and discreet toy, so it would be great in the shower, in a living situation where roommates could overhear, or for traveling since it's not distinguishable as a vibrator. It’s also perfect for beginners or those who don’t require intense vibrations. Couples will love this toy, especially couples who are new to adult toys since its size isn’t intimidating. It would be great during massages, foreplay, and solo play. Men will enjoy this too for use around the testicles and perineum.

Material / Texture

It is made of body safe plastic, giving it an Eden safety score of 8 out of 10. It is latex and phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, and non-porous. I noticed no discernible smell when I first unboxed this toy, and there is also no taste to it.

The vibrator head is nice and smooth with a velvety finish that didn't produce any noticeable drag. Since it's plastic, it's compatible with any lube you prefer. While it is velvety, it doesn't collect much dust or lint. I enjoyed the velvety smooth texture coupled with the large surface area of the tip. It makes this vibrator more unique and different from the usual smooth plastic clitoral vibrator.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design of this toy is what initially drew me in. It looks like a cute fairy wand. Very artistic and gorgeous, and very discreet and small. Because of this, it would do well during travelling or in roommate living situations where discretion is needed. I actually keep mine out at all times because I think it's so cute, and no one has figured out what it is.
Enchanted Crystals

The vibrating tip if a ball that is 4 1/2" in circumference. The overall length of it is also 4 1/2". There is no prominent point at the tip of it, so it gives a great surface area for clitoral stimulation. The ball at the end of the handle is made of clear plastic, giving it a fairy wand look. The shaft connecting the two balls tapers toward the middle, with the middle being the thinnest point of this toy. The shaft also consists of very pronounces ridges, which give a better grip when lube is used. I tend to get sore hands from gripping vibrators too long, but this design really seems to be user friendly in that sense. I didn't notice any discomfort from long sessions with this vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To turn it on you twist the glass-like ball. The intensity of the vibrations increases as you turn the ball more.
The vibrations were centered in the plastic ball, with no specific pinpoint precision. This gives for a larger surface area for vibrations.

The vibrations are very buzzy. No deep rumbles here. For this I think it would be great for beginners who are new to experimenting with vibrators, or couples looking to use it in foreplay or teasing, but not big orgasms will likely come of it if you require pinpoint vibrations or intensity.

It takes a single AAA battery. To put in the battery, you twist off the end with the glass-like bulb. There is an o-ring along the opening of the battery compartment, which makes it completely waterproof and safe for in the shower. Be sure to close it tightly to ensure the o-ring can keep water out. It also won't turn on unless it's closed tightly.
I tested the effectiveness of the o-ring and it seemed to do its job just fine. I'm confident that it'll hold up fine in the shower or bathtub.

Care and Maintenance

Since it is plastic it can be washed with mild soap and warm water. Attention should be paid to the ridges along the shaft, as lubricant and other gunk can collect there. I just knocked it loose with a soft bristle brush before washing it. Even though care does need to be paid to the ridges, it doesn't make it a severely high maintenance toy. If you are planning to share this toy, I would consider using a condom with it. It's not easily sanitizable since it's a vibrator and cannot be boiled, and the ridges would make swapping personal fluids a little too easy. If that risk concerns you, consider using a different vibrator if you plan to share.

I tried to wash it with toy wipes because I prefer them for plastic materials, but it was a pain rubbing between each ridge with the wipe to make sure it was free of lube.

When I do have to put this away, I store it in a little pouch I made of cotton fabric since it's not a lint magnet. Since it's not easily identifiable as a vibrator, leaving it out on a nightstand isn't a problem for me either. Be sure to remove batteries from your toys in between uses. It can save on battery life and also prevent any corrosion to the battery and battery compartment.

Packaging

It came in a small plastic domed tube with the Evolved label printed on the front. There's no mention of it being a vibrator on the front of the package, so I don't think it would be too taboo to give as a gift infront of others. On the back there's a list of its features, along with instructions of how to use it, and the mention of a 1 year warranty.

This package would be great for storage. It can fit the vibrator with the battery next to it. It's also recyclable if you decide to discard it.

Personal comments

I require a little more oomph to my toys. While it wasn't strong enough to get me over the edge, it's still a great toy that I'll probably keep around. I'd love to play with this with a partner, mostly for teasing and foreplay. It's such a gorgeous toy that I am happy I got it, even if it won't be my go-to vibrator in the future.

My hands tend to get sore from gripping vibrators too long. I found that resting the thinner part of the shaft between my fingers gave me enough control of the toy during use without cramping my fingers. I really love the design for this reason.
Follow-up commentary
I've actually had to make the long and hard decision to part with this one. I'm not one for tossing toys, but it was utterly useless for me. I tried to give this toy another chance many times after publishing my initial review. It just couldn't do it for me. The vibrations were too weak, but I admit that I have a clit of steel. Kind of sad considering it's such a beautiful vibrator and I usually love Evolved products.

After quite a few long sessions of trying to get this one to work well for me, the vibe itself didn't wear out on me and I didn't go through many batteries, so that's a plus! I think I've only changed the battery once so it's not a battery guzzler at all. I'm glad I got to test it out a little more and get to know how the battery life is on this one.

Shame that there's not enough power to go with the cute look. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for a great review! Since this is free w/purchase - and crazy CUTE - I'll probably give it a whirl anyway.

Great review! I had this in a different color, still do, but it broke as soon as I got it. I loved it for internal stimulation! I agree, these are definitely gorgeous.

Good review, thanks. I just got one of these last week and I think it's ok, but nothing special. How many vibes can you own that are good for foreplay but not to take you all the way? I'd say one. Or less.
