PACKAGE

The Enchanted Crystals by Evolved came in a cute, compact, plastic, see-through, not discreet, container. On the front of the package, it features the manufacturers name, the toys names (“Enchanted Crystals” and one specific to the color of the crystal), and a cute little saying unique to each toy. On the back it states some information about the toy and some simple instructions on use and care; I’ll get to that later. It also says the toy has a one year warranty. While the bottom states, and this is a direct quote: “This product is sold and should be used as an adult novelty only and should never be other than for external use.” I have read of some women using this internally and it feeling great for g–spot stimulation. I found that it was uncomfortable and difficult to maneuver upon insertion. Back to the packaging, since this is see-through it may not be ideal for gift giving, but I found the case attractive. I use it for storage, and it works wonderfully; if you don’t, keep in mind that it is plastic and plastic can be recycled. To me the case was a little difficult to open, and I found it easiest when you firmly squeeze it in the middle and then pop the bottom off.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

The Crystals have no smell or taste. It has an hour glass shape with the top part (the crystal) being slightly larger than the bottom. It’s ergonomic and petite (measuring at 4 1/2" in length, 3 ¼ being insert-able, a circumference of 4 1/2", and a diameter of 1 1/4"); I enjoy the shape and ease of holding this toy. The toy's rigid with absolutely no give to it at all. There’s a nearly unnoticeable seam running down the length of the middle and around the bottom ball, and cannot be felt. The ends, or balls, are smooth while the middle's ribbed. The toy runs off of one AAA battery, and has thus far proved itself to not guzzle batteries.

CARING FOR YOUR TOY

The Enchanted Crystals are made from plastic, which earns it 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It's hypo-allergenic and is latex and phthalates free. It's waterproof and works wonderfully in the shower, although I have not completely submerged it because the ring seems a little small to me. The package suggests you wash the toy with Evolved Smart Cleaner, you can also use a mild soap and water or by wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol. Despite it not being porous this toy cannot be properly sanitized so if you share be sure to use a condom. The toy's kind of high maintenance to clean due to all the little ridges along the shaft of the toy, so be prepared to spend some time washing this one. It's lube friendly and can be stored with other toys.

TURNED ON

The vibrations are located in the bottom ball, making this a good toy for pinpoint stimulation. On its highest setting, it cannot be heard over the Mimi on its lowest setting, it cannot be heard behind a closed door and can barely be heard under covers. The toy's discreet, as you would have to play with it to find out what it is. If you take out the battery, it would be easy to travel with, it's easy to slip into a purse/bag or pocket.

IN USE

The hour glass shape made the Enchanted Crystals easy to hold and move around for clit stimulation, during solo play and intercourse, but when inserted I had problems moving it around. To turn your toy on or off, you simply turn the crystal at the top of the toy. The dial is easy to turn, so it may shoot up into high or dive into low during use. The highest setting can be compared to Mimi’s low in sound and vibration. It’s not very strong. There is the simple low, medium, and high. The shower didn’t damper the vibrations, but submerging it may. I found that during solo play, and only using the crystal I could not get off, I was disappointed, but probably had too high of expectations. Using it during intercourse though, did enhance my orgasm. It also works great for general massage or foreplay, slip it over the nipples, labia, perineum, penis shaft or head, testicles, shoulders, neck, you get the point. I found that it's best used during intercourse, or a toy that's used mainly for thrusting and mild g-spot stimulation.

This toy would be good for those who enjoy that popping sensation when inserting a toy, ribs, pinpoint stimulation, or waterproof toys. Everyone from beginners to advanced users would enjoy this toy, as long as you don’t need strong vibrations.

I really wanted to make this toy work for masturbation. It is so cute! But, I do not like that popping sensation or bulged ends, and the vibrations are too weak to get me off for clit stimulation. It did work well for an addition to intercourse, and the husband loved it rubbed on his gentiles. I think stronger vibrations, or a smaller end would have made this toy a lot better.

I still like my Enchanted Crystals, but don't use it as much. It makes an appearance from time to time, but for the most part sits at the bottom of my toy box. It's still one of my most prettiest toys, but it doesn't have enough power behind it, which is why I don't use it as much as I would have liked to.
