Has reviewing toys influenced how you look at toys in porn?

So as the title says has reviewing toys influenced how you look at toys in porn?

For example, it is a big turn off for me to see chemical laden jelly toys in porn now. The weirdest is when they use uncovered jelly toys in one part of the scene and then use a much safer material with a condom (I'm assuming (hoping) they toss the jelly toys while they plan to use the good materials for the next scene). On the other hand seeing good toys in porn can be a turn on queer/alt porn generally does a good job of this and if a see a pron screenshot with something like an Njoy toy in it that generally speaks well about the quality I can expect from the porn.

Before I was involved with reviewing I knew nothing of toys. Now I can never look at toys without a critical mind. Material and use is so important.

I've been a product reviewer for several years now. I have seen a lot of toys in porn, and love to see them used. Too many times, they steer clear from them, since, from what I have gathered, many men are intimidated by toys. Bringing them into more of a spotlight, so to speak, shows men (and women that watch with them), that they can be fun. Sometimes seeing IS believing!!!

I inspect quality. It also makes me analyze a lot of random crap in the porn itself, like gender roles, etc.

I've gotten to the point where I can fall asleep during porn. Lol

I remember seeing part of a lesbian porn involving a jelly double-ended dildo. At the time, I didn't think much of it (I didn't even know that toys were made of anything but jelly, plastic, and rubber - never mind knowing material safety!), but looking back on it I just think, "Huh. They probably ought to have used condoms on that sucker."

I mainly watch porn videos where only dildos (and other non-vibrating toys) are used, but on the off occasion where I see vibrating toys in action, I often think to myself that they're not using them fully! As in, they tend to stick with one or two functions, and ignore everything else. Such a waste...
