This probe was my first experience with a glass toy, and I have to admit I was a little nervous when it first arrived because glass doesn't bend! However, after the first session with the Explorer I am now a believer and a fan of glass toys.

The Explorer is made of borosilicate glass (same material as Pyrex for us lay people!), which receives the highest marks on Eden for glass safety. It also means that the Explorer can be used with any type of lube and is easy to clean - it can even go in the dishwasher. It's great for anyone with sensitivities to other materials, like latex or silicone. Because it is glass, it can also be used for temperature play. It is small enough to take with you if you travel (just wrap it carefully as glass can break) but big enough for mega fun. The Explorer comes in green and purple - I received the purple and love the color! And the toy came in its own velvet, drawstring bag. I recommend storing it in this bag inside another (more sturdy) storage container.

The toy is 6 1/2" long, but that includes the handle - the insertable length is 4 1/2" and the circumference is 4" making it a good size for people relatively new to anal play. The handle of the Explorer is easy to grip and doesn't slide out of one's grasp during play, and the shaft has a series of five bulges or bubbles which make for delectable sensations. The first bulbs are slightly smaller than the last two, which make it easy to "warm up" and relax into the size. And because it is made of glass, it is super smooth and slides in with lube more easily than any other toy I've used.

My husband enjoyed the Explorer himself and found that the bumpy texture felt amazing going in and stimulated the P-spot in a very good way. =D It has quickly become one of our favorite toys as I can use it on him during oral and watch him go absolutely crazy with pleasure, which is a huge turn on for me. And although described as an anal probe, the Explorer can be used vaginally as well. The cool temperature is stimulating, and while it is not large in girth, the handle allows for angling which makes it easy to hit all the right spots and gets you warmed up for more heavy action.

I love that this is a toy we can share (after cleaning, of course!) and can both enjoy with maximum pleasure. I cannot think of a downside to this toy - and for such a reasonable price, it is absolutely worth having in your toy arsenal!

I was nervous when my husband grabbed the Explorer and flipped me on my stomach for some anal play as I was new to glass toys. But because you can warm up by inserting one bulb at a time and because the smooth and cool texture is amazing, I quickly fell in love with the sensation and was begging for more. The toy is now one of my favorites and one of my husband's favorites as well.
