To Boldly Go Where No Explorer has Gone...
The Emerald Explorer is an amazing glass item. It can be used in lots of ways, it's exciting without going too far and it is made of a body safe material. It's an awesome toy to have on hand.

Although the Emerald Explorer is billed as an anal probe, it can be used vaginally as well. As with all stacked ball glass toys, I really enjoy the feeling of the length of it being rubbed against my clit. It may not have a huge amount of girth when you use it vaginally, but it does feel nice. The firm quality lends itself to g-spotting, and the handle makes it easy to work with. I have used this for p-spotting on my husband, and he enjoys it quite a bit. This toy can be used on men or women, and beginner and advanced users alike will love it. It is a great toy for couples play, as it's not long enough that you will have to worry too much about bruising your cervix if it's thrust too deeply.
Some outdoor shots to give you an idea of the coloring:
The Emerald Explorer consists of a series of 5 stacked bulbs followed by a ring handle. The bulbs are uniform and measure 1 1/4" in diameter. The total length of the Emerald Explorer is 6 1/2", with a 4 1/2" insertable length. The ring has a diameter of 2". There is very little area for rest between each bulb, they sort of flow right into each other. The result is less of a popping sensation, and more of a wave feeling as you feel the higher and lower sections of the toy. The handle is well thought out and comfortable to use. The rounded end makes it easy to insert, no matter where you're using it. The handle is great for everything except long term wear. The Emerald Explorer won't stay in on it's own, and isn't comfortable to wear under clothes or while seated.
Some indoor shots to give you an idea of the sizing:
The color of the Emerald Explorer is a deep emerald green, and is uniform throughout. It isn't so dark that it looks black in dim lighting, but it really shines when it is used in natural light.
Emerald Explorer is made of borosilicate glass, which is non-porous, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, latex-free and phthalate-free. It has no smell or taste. Borosilicate glass is better known as Pyrex, the bakeware and dishes popular in kitchens the world over. Borosilicate glass is made to break in large chunks instead of tiny slivers if it does break. Glass toys are good for temperature play, so you could choose to submerge the Emerald Explorer in a bowl of warm or cold water before use. The glass holds the temperature well, and it will add an exciting element to your play! As it's glass, it's also waterproof. You could take it in the shower or bath with you, or take your Emerald Explorer for a swim in the pool. Be careful to keep a tight hold on the toy, so you don't drop it on a hard surface.
Cleaning Emerald Explorer is simple. You can wash the toy with soap and water, or you can use your favorite toy cleaner. It can be sterilized by placing it in boiling water for three minutes, or washing it in your dishwasher. Because it is a glass toy, you can use any lube you like. It does not tend to collect lint or hair.
Emerald Explorer comes wrapped in bubble wrap, with no pouch or storage option. For storage, be sure to avoid storing it up against other glass toys, or anywhere it might bang against anything which would break it. I use a small felt pouch to store it, and have had no issues. No instructions, care information or paperwork came with the toy. It is pretty self explanatory, but you can consult the many reviews for tips on using this toy.

Experience
This little green guy has really earned a place in the forefront of our toy collection. I really like to use this vaginally. I can comfortably place two fingers through the handle, which makes for comfortable thrusting. I can also place two fingers through the loop and press the toy against my clit from the opposite side of the bubbles. That allows for a good amount of pressure while I slide it up and down, which does the trick every time.
My husband likes this toy for p-spot play. It's a great way to warm up for larger toys, and the glass allows you to use a silicone lube. The movement of the bubbles when the toy is moved in and out really works well for prostate massage.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
This toy is still a part of our regular rotation, and is frequently used by my husband to warm up for larger toys.
