Great G-Spot Toy For Anyone!
I am very happy with this purchase. This toy is the perfect size, is travel-friendly, and a great price to boot.Published: July 15, 2011
Pros:
Good size, safe material, good for temperature play, targets the g-spot
Cons:
Nothing!
This toy was a first for me, both as a g-spot toy and one made of glass. I bought this toy with the ultimate goal to teach myself to have g-spot orgasms. I'm not there yet, but the toy has definitely exceeded my expectations, and I'll tell you why.
Starting with appearance, this is a beautiful toy. I originally wanted purple (my favorite color!), but it was out of stock at the time so I went with blue. I'm happy I made that decision instead of waiting for purple to go back in stock. Blue is very pretty as well, and more importantly the toy has some amazing features, which I'll outline below.
Like I said, glass was new to me, and I wasn't sure if it would be too much since my vaginal canal is rather tight. I think this may have been an issue if I chose a girthier toy, but it truly wasn't with the Amethyst. The beauty of this toy is that it's large enough to target your g-spot, but not so large as to cause discomfort for women with smaller vaginas. I do believe it could even be used by virgins, unlike traditional toys that are meant for deep insertion.
Locating my g-spot with this toy was basically effortless. Even though its girth is small, it's perfectly designed to hit the area just right. A little quick vibration from my hand and I was purring.
I noted that one of the reviewers commented in her video that the textured end is recommended "only if your vaginal walls are made of steel." True, it's VERY intense, but I actually enjoyed it (GENTLY moving it in and out) once I was nearing climax. You'll have to experiment with it yourself and see what you think.
Another use I found for it was rubbing my vulva/clit. I LOVE firm, steady pressure on my clit so it was just perfect. I did kind of wish for something else to rub my clitoris while the toy was inside me (I never have much luck with using my finger when being penetrated-I always seem to pinch myself-ouch!)
Being a health-conscious person, I am pleased with the safety of glass. It of course doesn't offgas and it has no smell. It's also extremely easy to clean-just wash it with soap and water. No need to sterilize.
Now for the big question: how were the orgasms? Well, I have not achieved the elusive g-spot orgasm YET, but I'm getting close. Although I did have to resort to rubbing my clit to finish, I noticed that the orgasms were much more intense when using the Amethyst in conjunction. I'm glad I decided to try this toy, and I think it would be excellent for any woman looking to discover - or re discover - her g-spot.

Follow-up commentary

Although the Amethyst has taken a backseat to my other, newer glass toys, I still use it from time to time. I still recommend it wholeheartedly for anyone interested in glass toys. It is non-threatening, affordable, and it gets the job done.

Is it easy to use glass dildos with lube?

Quote: Is it easy to use glass dildos with lube?I heard that somepeople find that it drags or almost sticks at times, becoming painfull after a few thrusts. I never had thsi problem but I hear it alot lately.

In my own experience, some water-based lubes do dry suspiciously fast on glass and leave something of a residue that occasionally got sticky, but I've never had it become painful. I haven't used lube with my glass since moving on to glycerin-free lubes, though, and I know glycerin is often the culprit with stickiness.
I'll have to try again and see how my Sliquid fares with it. Silicone lube will probably work out better, too.

Amethyst Still Out of Stock?
-
I noticed this has been out of stock for a long while, or is it just me? I really want to pick this one up, does anyone know when it might be back if ever? I'm not too fond of the others due to them being pink (unless Eden carried the cobalt bent graduate, which I would pick up).
Anyone have any word on when this will be back? -
I dunno, really. I guess you could set alerts to be notified when it is. I wish I knew as well, because I don't like the pink ones either and I know exactly where you're coming from. Hey, if I find out, I'll let you know.:)
