Icicles No. 8 - sex toy by Pipedream - review by llellsee

I was lucky enough to find myself to be the owner of an Icicles No. 08 Glass dildo after recently winning a
competition. It had been a while since I had last played with a glass toy despite the fact that I own several glass dildos already. I was, at one time, a fan of the feel of glass but had turned into a silicone addict since. I was excited and waiting for my my new icicles to arrive and more than glad to have an excuse to give glass toys a try again.



Packaging-

The Icicles No. 08 Dildo arrived beautifully packaged in a black and white box which describes the item within as being a 'hand blown glass massager'. The front of the box features an illustration of the toy within and pulls open to reveal the toy itself sitting behind a window of clear plastic. The packaging, though simple, has a feel of elegance to it and is the type of packaging that you might hold onto for more long term storage of the toy. When opened, the box safely contains the glass toy within inner foam packaging.

Once removed from its packaging the first thing I thought upon seeing the Icicles No. 08 was, "wow this is pretty petite". My second thought was of how wonderfully this toy reflects light. I have owned some pretty aesthetically pleasing glass toys before, but none match this or are even close. The blue spirals within the glass show tints of purple and turquoise when the light hits them, while the outside of the glass reflects rainbow colours, blues, purples, greens and yellows.

Measurements-

In terms of size, the Icicles No. 08 has an overall length of 7 inches or 5 1/4 inches of insertable length if you insert up to the beginning of the ball. In girth the 'ripples' of the toy vary from 2 1/2 inches to 3 1/4 inches in circumference, and the 'ball' end is 5 inches in circumference.

With this not being the longest and certainly not being a girthy toy (with the exception of the ball end) I would highly recommend this to anyone new to toys and looking for their first glass toy. As a fan of smaller toys myself, I was relieved to see the size of this in person. I do feel that even people used to larger toys will enjoy this, especially with the added sensation the ripples create and the option of inserting the balled end for G-spot stimulation. This toy is likely to satisfy most.

I find my favorite use for this is to first warm it up in the hands and apply a small amount of lube before inserting the smaller end using the ball as a handle. The sensations from slowly inserting the ripples can be surprisingly intense. This being a smooth, textured toy, I also found it great for lubing up and using to rub my clit. Being made of glass it can be heated up or cooled down before play. I find the easiest way to do this is to rest the toy in either warm or cold water before use. You can also chill this in the freezer and according to its packaging it is even safe to heat in the microwave.

Cleaning/Care-

Another benefit of being made of glass is that this toy is hypoallergenic, body-safe and non-porous. Cleaning is also easy, I clean mine with warm soapy water but this can also be placed in the dishwasher, as it is non-porous it doesn't absorb or harbour bacteria within its material. I use water based lube with mine but any type of lubricant can be used with it.
