Use

The Emigi's best use is as a kegel exerciser. Its smaller, petite build makes it perfect for any woman who is just starting out with kegels, those who have a harder time inserting larger objects, and makes it very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Really, it's great for beginners. Those more advanced with their kegels or who happen to have stronger vaginal muscles to begin with, or just have a larger vagina, probably won't find the Emigi as useful. If you don't like what it does for exercises, leave it in while having anal sex for an interesting double penetration experience, or just give it to your cats. They'll love it.

Material / Texture

Emigi is made from a non-toxic, skin friendly, elastomer called WTP. Just like the rest of SinFive's newest products, it also has anti-microbial properties. During production, the biocompatible elastomer used to make the SinFive products is mixed with an additive that prevents the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms. The additive used is not harmful to humans in any way, and since the size of the added molecules prevents them from ever being released, you can rest assured that your vagina's PH is safe as well. This process is about 99.9% effective, but you should still make sure to clean your Emigi anyway.

Aside from the anti-microbial layer, the material is the same as that used for a lot of children's toys, so you know it's free of phthalates, is hypoallergenic, non-porous, and all that good stuff.

The material itself has a matte finish and feels a little rougher than one might expect. It's still really smooth and soft, and lube will take away that dragging feeling and make it easier to insert as well.

Design / Shape / Size

The Emigi is really small. With the cord, it has a total length of 6", but the actual insertible part is only about 2 1/2". It's shaped somewhat like an awkward peanut in that each end is flared, leaving a dip in the middle of the toy. The circumference around the larger ends is about 4". Attached to one end is the little retrieval cord. It's about 4" long and about 1/8" thick. Just long enough to cause some irritation in the form of poking the outer vaginal lips or the clitoris or even the inner thighs. You can of course, cut the cord to make it shorter, but only do so after you know how far into your body Emigi will be pulled. This way you can ensure that you won't have to go digging for a cord if you don't want to.

Emigi, much like the Smart Balls, is hollow and contains a small weight that rattles around inside. If you're holding it in your hand and rattling it, it's barely audible, and only audible while you're wearing it with the use of a stethoscope. Grand total weight is just about 3 1/2 ounces, which is really light. The idea behind the 'vibration' is that while you're wearing the Emigi and you feel it rattle, you'll remember to do your kegels.

Emigi is small enough to easily tuck just about anywhere, even in its packaging. It can be discreetly worn out and about while you grocery shop, go swimming, or just wander around your house.

Performance

Some women may have a harder time inserting Emigi. I find that the best way to insert these is by holding the bulbed end with the cord and inserting the same way you would a tampon. Because Emigi is one solid piece rather than 2 balls attached together, you won't have to worry about it bending in half while you're trying to get it in. You'll know it's in correctly when it sort of gets sucked in and you can feel it without any discomfort.

As for removing, simply tug lightly on the cord while pushing your muscles out. Depending on your level you might be able to push them out all on their own. Unlike the Smart Balls, the small stature of the Emigi means that it won't cause the same pain or discomfort that something larger might cause upon removal.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance for this guy is really easy. Just wash him before your first use with a toy cleaner, or antibacterial soap and water, and after every use after that. Some women might not need lubricant due to Emigi's small stature, but should you feel you want some, any water or silicone based lube will do just fine.

If your hands are dirty at all, make sure to clean them before playing with Emigi at all. My fiance went to look at it right after I had finished cleaning mine after handling dusty boxes all day, and I had to go right back to the bathroom to clean it off again. It picks up dirt you put onto it, but won't go around acting like a lint roller.

For storage, keep Emigi in its original package, a drawer, a plastic baggy, or if you're starting a collection of vaginal exercisers, keep them all in a toy pouch even.

Packaging

The packaging was adorable. I was expecting a box similar to the other SinFive products I had received, but instead I got a little pouch. All the information such as cleaning, proper use, and the description of the product is in a little tri-folded pamphlet that folds into the package in such a way that it appears to give the package a front and back. It's written in 3 different languages.

You can easily use this packaging as storage, and it would make a lovely gift. However it's not the most discreet, so keep that in mind if you plan on leaving it out anywhere.

Personal comments

Please don't ever, ever, ever use the Emigi anally. You know how your vagina sucks it up inside of you? Well your rectum will do the same, only your cervix won't be there to stop it from continuing. Save yourself the headache, and doctor bill, and just don't put it in your butt.

Experience

I wanted so badly to be wowed by the Emigi. I kept hearing awesome things about how it's great for shorter vaginal canals and those with a tipped uterus, and I have both. After using it a couple times, I'm not tremendously thrilled with its performance.

I wore it in the shower, and for whatever reason could really feel the little ball moving inside the Emigi really well. Wore it out grocery shopping and to the wine place to rent a corker, and even had my mom with me. Didn't feel nervous at all that anybody could tell that I was wearing a vaginal exerciser. For me to feel the most use out of it, I would have to pull it down so that it felt like it was falling out, but after about half an hour of moving around, it would work itself back up far enough that I couldn't really feel it, or remember to keep doing my kegels.

I did find it really neat that I could pop it out on my own without having to tug the cord at all. My fiance also thought that was really amusing, and I had to insert it a few more times so that he could watch me 'birth' my Emigi. Another thing I really liked about the Emigi over my Smart balls, is that while wearing them for extended period of time, I didn't feel like my cervix was getting stabbed, and I experienced no pain whatsoever in removing them.
Follow-up commentary
I still wholeheartedly recommend this as an exerciser for a woman who isn't wanting to insert something huge, but I just don't seem to use it anymore. It held up just fine to the using and washings that I gave it, and still looks brand new.

love your reviews, i got the emigi and gave it to my sister- she had similar insight but hasn't use it multiple times.. but i still want to try it. question though-when you said you felt the 'ball' moving, did yours not have two??
  • Contributor: Jul!a
It's hard to tell honestly. There's definitely something rattling in both "balls", but I can't tell if it's two separate balls that are sized just for those ends or if it's one piece strung between the two. Logically, it makes more sense for there to be two balls inside tho.
