Can this toy be sterilized?

So I did something really dumb the other day. I went to go to the bathroom (yes, #2) and 'forgot' that I had the Emigi inserted. Guess what happened...yup, Emigi fell in the toilet! Fortunately nothing else had..but still, I want to sterilize it. Does anyone know if it can be boiled? I scanned through about half the reviews but it wasn't mentioned, nor did a google search of the company turn up anything. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it can be sterilized, but not by boiling. Another contributor wanted to know the same thing a while back, so I tested mine with rubbing alcohol. I soaked it in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for 8 minutes, and the Emigi came out looking fine. I'm not sure whether it's safe to boil the Emigi, because it appears to be glued together in the middle or something, and I didn't want to take the risk melting it in boiling water.

It is completely non-porous, so yes!

You can sanitize it with 10% bleach solution. Sterilizing it would require an autoclave.

The bleach sounds like a great idea. I also thought of hydrogen peroxide.
