If You Can't Bring Your Vagina To The Gym, Bring The Gym To Your Vagina

The SinFive Emigi is not my first vaginal exerciser, but it may be my last. The size and shape and weight distribution work really well for me, and the WTP material is extra safe. And as an added bonus, it vibrates when I laugh!
Published: August 16, 2010
Pros:
Perfect size, good weighting, good results, comfortable, very safe.
Cons:
The cord was quite annoying.

extremely useful review
The SinFive Emigi kegel exerciser may look like other ones you've seen but has enough subtle differences to make it really stand out in the crowd.

First off, it's smaller. It's a peanut shaped dual color device that's 3" long with a 4" cord. It is 1" across the slimmer center area and 1-1/4" across at the top and bottom. The bottom portion (colored portion) is also slightly softer or more plush than the top. It has a tiny bit more give than the white portion when squeezed. There is also a very minimal seam across both the white and purple (the color I chose it in) sections, and an inward seam between the two colors. None of these are large enough to be felt. This makes it easier and more comfortable to wear out in public, and for longer periods of time, especially for those built with smaller female anatomy.

Secondly, it's simply more comfortable. There is no bump where the cord is attached, and no texture on the item anywhere. I find these features on other toys to be very irritating so the overall smoothness of this toy was a big plus for me.

Third, it's extremely safe. The WTP that the entire toy is made of is non-porous and latex and phthalate free. It is also hypo-allergenic and best of all is antimicrobial. That's right - this material will actually kill the bacteria it comes in contact with and disallow bacteria to cling to it or grow on it.

Another perk of this toy's material and construction is its extreme strength and sturdiness. I have TRIED to break this toy in half at the center seam and have repeatedly failed. I have also pulled and stretched the cord as far as I could (while it was still attached...more on that later), and tied into knots and untied it and yet it consistently returned to good-as-new shape and size.

The adorable triangular bag packaging - adorned with a very classy, simplistic design - states that the toy is made in Germany. I'd like to echo the sentiment of the Sham-Wow man by saying "It's made in Germany - you know the Germans always make good stuff!" I don't know about the Sham-Wow, but this is really an incredibly fine crafted product.

When I am wearing it, I don't feel it necessary to actually contract the muscles rhythmically as one would do to exercise these muscles without a device. What I find happens is that just the weight of the toy forces me to ever so slightly hold the muscles in place, at different levels of tightness depending on what I'm doing at the time. Walking, bending, or sitting all require slightly different, yet very mild, muscle maneuvers.

I think this product would be great for anyone with a vagina. It is small enough to be comfortable for just about anyone, and because of its ultra safe material and construction, there shouldn't be many people, if any at all, with safety issues with this one either. It has one job, and does it well, tightening your pelvic floor muscles with very little conscious effort on your part. It would work well for someone that has never tried a vaginal exerciser before, or for someone that has tried others and just hasn't been comfortable for them.

Cleaning and storage are incredibly easy with this toy. It is already antimicrobial, so all it requires is a quick wash and dry with soap and water and a drying with any towel. I have had no issues with hair or fuzz sticking to this device, so you can store it just about anywhere. Its tiny size makes it easy to hide if need be. It is also super discreet and travel friendly because unless the person seeing it is familiar with kegel exercisers, it could easily be written off as a cat toy. In addition, it is completely silent when inserted - when not inserted, you can hear a very light dull thud when you shake it. Its little bag is perfect for storage but I prefer to keep mine in a toy drawer with other high quality material, clean toys.
Experience
Now let's get to the important part - using the Emigi. I apply a drop of water based lube to the very top of the toy before inserting it, just to ensure total comfort. I insert it just beyond the ring of muscle at the base of the vagina. It sits there comfortably, and although I am aware of the weight of it while it is inside me, it is not uncomfortable or painful. To be cautious, I started out wearing it around the house for an hour at a time, then increased the time, and started running quick errands with it in before using it for longer periods of time. Although I can see no severe harm in wearing it for a full day or overnight, there probably wouldn't be any real advantage to it either, and it could possibly become uncomfortable after more than 8 hours or so.

To remove the toy, you simply give a light tug on the cord and it comes out easily. Or if you have removed the cord, as I have done, simply grab the bottom of it between two fingers and pull it out that way.

My least favorite feature of this exerciser turned out to be the cord. I tried moving it forward, backward, and even tucking it up alongside the toy. All of these positions became irritating after a while. So after some research, I first cut the string down to about an inch and tied a knot in it for easy removal - that stayed in place well - but it still wasn't comfortable. So after a bit of research to be sure it was safe, I clipped the cord entirely. This has made the toy absolutely flawless for me.

My favorite feature of the device is that, depending on what you're doing, it can almost vibrate when you least expect it. I noticed slight movement in the interior weighted balls when I was driving and hit a bump, or if I was walking fast or jogging lightly. However, the best surprise came the first time I laughed while wearing it. Apparently the movement of my body when I laugh makes the balls in the bottom of the Emigi bounce around like crazy - which is fun because the vibration is such an unexpected feeling that it usually makes me laugh more. It's certainly not enough to get me to orgasm, but it's still enjoyable, and gets me a bit warmed up if I'm going to be having sex after wearing it. I still don't consider this to be a sex toy, because it is not specifically intended for pleasure, but it does offer that little bit of teasing stimulation.

I think this is a great little exerciser, and have seen some slight results since beginning using it - I'm fairly certain I would've seen even more results had I not already been exercising my kegel muscles fairly regularly before starting out with this device.

I think I would be too freaked out to cut the cord completely but if it makes it more comfortable for you and it works better for you that way, thats awesome. Great review.

  • Do you get cramps with Emigi?
    • I've noticed that when I use the Emigi kegel exerciser, I have very mild cramps. Gas anyone else noticed this, or am I just crazy?

Could it be touching your cervix and irritating it?

  • Kegel exercisers
    • Which is the best kegel exerciser? I've read good things about the sinfive emigi and luna pleasure beads and hte ami system. I would like some opinions on hte best one. I've had two children vaginally so it's probably about time I start toning things up.
    • As a male I find the Pure Plug anal toys from Njoy to be good for doing kegels. I suppose if you were a woman you could do a DP kegel routine!(nerd)
    • The Emigi seems like a great way to start! I really like my Loa, but they're kind of large! The Ami seems like the best (but is a bit pricey) because you get 3 and can steadily increase the difficulty!

  • Why is it only safety rating 8?
    • The material section says that it is non porous, phthalates free, and anti-bacterial, so why is the safety rating only an 8? I bought this and the g-ki for my birthday and they are arriving today, but I just became worried that I might have a yeast infection or something. I'm so disappointed that I might have to wait to use my new toys, but I don't think it is safe to use them if I have one, right? I don't want to contaminate my toys?

    • You can't boil it! Toys that you can boil get a higher safety rating!

  • Am I using Emigi right?
    • I just got this and I've used it for a couple of days. I feel nothing. Absolutely nothing when it's in me. The only time I do is when I have it placed closer to my vaginal opening and the feeling isn't pleasurable and the thing slips out. How far in is this toy supposed to go? And am I supposed to feel it or is it still going to work if I don't?

I believe it sits right inside - I tried it closer to my opening too but it was mighty uncomfy. I felt the exact same as you. Emigi does NOTHING for me. It's like I'm not even using it. In my opinion, it's useless. But a lot of people love it.
It was my first kegel toy and I was disappointed.

But then I bought the Lelo Luna Beads which are pricey but SOOOOOOO worth it.
Any slight movement and you will feel the internal balls moving with ease! They are fabulous (inlove)
I find the girdle is too long for me so I just use one of the balls inserted on it's own. I cut the string off mine cause I find them easy to push out using ya muscles. One day I must try inserting 2 balls, but I'm not sure there's enough room to have both in, for me.

If you want to feel the internal balls moving around, I highly suggest Luna Beads! I LOVE mine.

Thanks, but the last thing I will do is spend more money on something that may not work. Besides, the Luna beads are too big for me. I've never had anything bigger than 4 inches in circumference in me so that's my limit.

If I put Emigi in and gently pull on the string to get it to move a little more down, I can feel some pressure and it feels pretty good. It also doesn't fall out unless the tail end is further towards my vaginal opening.

I don't know if it's all because I'm too loose or my muscles are too weak, but I am hoping that with a little more practice, I will get this thing to work.

  • SinFive Emigi Kegel Improvements
    • So I was ready another review of the SinFive Emigi and am thinking of getting this for my wife. Obviously the purpose of it is to strengthen your kegels so I thought it might be good to make an area where those that have used it can post back about how it has or hasn't helped them.

I almost didn't get the Emigi because several things I read said about it being for beginners. I dont feel like a beginner,..but I guess I am because it can slip out on me on occasion,...so I guess I have kegel work to do,..... but two 9 lbs babies will do that ;-) Feels good, comfortable

  • WTP or Elastomer?
    • I sat down this evening and wanted to write a review of my Emigi, and started to read carefully the instructions, where it said it was made of elastomer. However, in the product description, it says it is made of WTP, which a type of thermoplastic.

I can only see Sinfive products that fall in that material category, and I was wondering if it called WTP by Edenfantasys because it has those antimicrobial properties and received a bonus point in the material safety scale (8 for WTP, and 7 for Elastomer)? I'm asking because some of you know that I write product sheet about materials on my blog, and I'm not to sure how to deal with that material. It looks like I could include a note about WTP in a main page about 'Elastomer', but I'd like to make sure i would be correct. However, I can't find what it stands for, and if anyone knew, it would really be helpful.
    • I'm not sure... but I would try contacting the manufacturer. Furthermore, I would always go with the information provided with the toy rather than on a website where someone might input the wrong info.
    • oh... I just realized what WTP was.... What The Pfuck!? Okay, that was lame, but I crack myself up.

  • It Looks So Cute And Tiny!
    • I can't help it, i want one. But... only 1 review? Will there be more? Who has one? I'm just kinda disappointed there's no blue one. The pictures make the purple one seem dark, but others have shown it to be lighter and more blueish. Anyone have the plum one and can tell for sure what it looks like?

I also like the fact it's small and less intimidating than smart balls, which I have always debated getting. For a decent price and a small compact shape, I might have to get these and see what all this kegal exercising is all about. :P

Anyone else gonna pick one of these little peanuts up? :P (It looks like a peanut to me, lol.)
