Lay Lady Laya

I love the colors and design of this vibe. It's so cute! It almost looks like a mini flashlight you could leave on your desk. It's discreet and much smaller than I had imagined it to be. Laya is probably one of the better clitoral vibrators I have tried, however it didn't pack quite the punch I needed to make this a favorite.

Pros:
Contoured to fit a woman's body, easy to use.
Cons:
Not rechargeable, though it looks it. Not quite as powerful as I'd hoped.

Layaspot is pretty. Very pretty. If this vibe were in high school, she'd win Most Popular by far. I love the candy coated colors of the Layaspot. It's delightfully curved body is contoured to fit a woman's body. It's made with quality material, you can tell just by gazing at this vibe. It's what one would expect from a Fun Factory toy. Layaspot is actually quite petite in size. I had imagined the toy to be much bigger actually, and was pleasantly surprised to find that instead of being bulky it was quite girly and small - I love discreet vibes. This is one of those toys you could carelessly leave laying around your desk and home, and no one would be suspicious as to why you have a vibrator sitting out in the open. Layaspot looks as though she would be rechargeable. She just has that quality rechargeable look to me, alas she is not, she does require batteries. Which isn't so bad I suppose, I've just turned into a bit of a spoiled rechargeable vibe kind of girl Winking This toy is made of quality plastic and elastomer. I definitely suggest using a water based lubricant with this toy. I used Fun Factory's Toy Fluid with this toy, and it worked great. This toy is quite easy to clean also, antibacterial soap and water did the trick for me. However, Layaspot is NOT waterproof, so be careful as to not submerge the toy. This vibe is splash-proof though, which means a little moisture won't hurt it, just don't get any wetness into the buttons of battery compartment.

Layaspot fits in the hand quite nicely. This toy is definitely a clitoral vibrator, so it's not something you would insert. If you love insertion, I definitely suggest using the Layaspot with another Fun Factory toy such as the Dolly Dolphin. The buttons are easy to use, to change the vibration settings, however I did have a little bit of trouble changing the settings while in use. Layaspot is quite easy to use, and possibly a great beginner toy for those who are used to traditional shaped vibrators. Layaspot has a nice vibration, however, it wasn't strong enough for me. This may be why I like rechargeable toys so much, they seem to pack the punch that most battery vibrators lack. I had so much hope for this toy, and in most way, this toy rocked. I just would have loved if it had been a little stronger. This is why I'm giving it 3 out of 4 stars. If you love clitoral stimulation and want something that isn't too overpowering, then this would be the choice for you. It's pretty quiet also! I love that this vibe isn't noisy like a few of the other clitoral massagers I've tried. It would have been perfect had it just been a little stronger.

Overall, Layaspot is a great toy. She has all the potential of a great vibrator and something that possibly could have become a favorite of mine had she been just a teensy bit stronger. For the price, I do recommend Layaspot. It fits the budget, and it will tickle your clit with delight, but if you're someone who enjoys more powerful vibrations, please bear this in mine before trying the Layaspot out.

I'll admit that this is a pretty yet discreet vibe and looks like it would be rechargeable. It's too bad this didn't quite get the job done for you. You said 3 out of 4 stars, but I think you meant 3 out of 5 stars. Thanks for the review.

It is totally discreet! Looks like those electronic women's shavers!

I agree with Lauren, this really does look like a women's shaver! The product description for this toy says it is waterproof, does it say something different on the box or in the instructions?

Yes, that's three for the shaver look! My first thought too.

You asked for a bit of feedback in the forum on your review writing, and I'd suggest maybe just clear organization would raise you up to the level we all strive for.

I like the review, found it fairly rated so far (and I will read a few more, as you asked), but I think with some better structure (which will limit a little repetition) you'll get the great feedback and encouragement we all need.

Look forward to something in March!

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
