Least erotic vibrator with the most hype.

This product really is hit or miss depending on your needs. Read all the reviews carefully to make up your mind.

Pros:
Easy to hold and nicely molded to body contours.
Cons:
Low vibrational intensity, hard texture.

somewhat useful review

Use

Apparently this handy looking easy to hold little vibrator is best used on the clit for solo play. I would suggest anyone that likes low vibration might find this toy fun. It could also be a good toy for those with mobility issues. The easy to hold and easy to manipulate grip means that it can be manipulated with one hand. Even the controls to change intensity are built right into the top of the vibrator and based on a pressure click system.

Material / Texture

The material is a durable plastic that looks like a neutron bomb could go off and it would still be in one piece. For myself, I found this surface hard, unyielding, and not so erotic. The texture is mainly smooth with the red colored areas being ever so slightly textured.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is indeed interesting. It's all around smooth and all in one design are pleasing. The size seems just about perfect. The curved overall shape is pleasing. It would be good as a toy for an inexperienced person or low vibration person. It can easily fit in a pocket or in a purse.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls like I said above are located at the top of the almost boomerang shaped vibrator. On mine they are somewhat stiff. You can operate them while holding onto the vibrator yourself. It's not terribly noisy but not entirely stealthy either. Definitely quieter than a bullet vibe. Because it's splash proof it is really easy to clean.

Care and Maintenance

This toy can be washed with soap and warm water. I just chuck it in the door drawer as it's a tough toy.

Packaging

It comes nicely packaged but nothing fancy or reusable.
Follow-up commentary
Based on some feedback I wanted to make clear my two main issues with this toy. First there is not enough vibration intensity or shifts in the KIND of vibration. I found it to be the same dull type of vibration. I prefer vibrators that are more easily controlled for deeper thumpier sorts of vibration as well as high lighter ones.

Secondly the hard unyeilding texture is not my thing. I like something a little softer or more rubber in texture. This is like getting it on with a plastic spoon.

I somehow wonder based on other reviews if these are not all manufactured equally and some people luck out. I was unhappy to have paid this price for a vibrator I don't like.

I'm sorry you didn't love this but I think your review might by a little more helpful if you explained why in the review, not just in the pros. I think using the experience section is warranted here.

I have to agree with Adriana. You advise that this toy is hit or miss, but do not explain why it didn't work for you.

Yeah, I found it just wasn't as strong as I thought it should be. So many people love this toy, but I just have not been into it at all. Sad face

Good points and feedback. I will edit it to reflect that better.

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
