If I could only keep one toy out of my entire collection, this would probably be it. Gigi is equally amazing for both g-spot and clitoral stimulation, and is almost perfect for me. I was worried I might regret spending the money on this, but my only regret it that I didn't buy it sooner.

Pros:
Great shape for g-spot or clitoral stimulation, strong, quiet, rechargeable, silicone.
Cons:
Not waterproof, handle is a bit short.

Use

Gigi is designed to be a g-spot vibrator, and it does that job very well. It is also amazing as a clit vibrator, and I actually use it for that purpose most often. If you're looking for a toy that works well both internally and externally, I highly recommend Gigi. This is my current favourite to use during sex with a partner, and I also reach for it often during my solo sessions.

Gigi's size won't overwhelm beginners, and many advanced users will appreciate the high quality, effective design, and strong vibrations this toy offers. I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for a full feeling, who needs a lot of deep thrusting, or who prefers very rumbly vibrations.

Gigi isn't waterproof, so you'll have to look elsewhere for some bathtime fun. It is very quiet, which makes it a great choice for anyone in a shared living situation.

Material / Texture

Gigi has a silicone coated shaft, and an ABS plastic handle. It has no smell or taste, and is body safe and non-porous. The silicone has a smooth, silky texture and is totally seamless. There is no give or flex since it is a thin coating over a hard interior. I enjoy the slight drag the silicone has when I use it externally, but I usually need a dab of lube to make insertion comfortable. The smooth, shiny handle could be a little difficult to grip if things get slippery. The silver band is metallic plastic, rather than actual metal.

Design / Shape / Size

Gigi is fairly small, but in my opinion she's just the right size to get the job done without taking up any unnecessary space. The total length is 6 1/2", and 4 1/2" are insertable. Gigi is able to reach my g-spot with just over an inch of the shaft left outside my body and available for thrusting. I wish that the handle were slightly longer so that my hand would be able to fully grip it, but I haven't actually had a problem with slipping.

Gigi has a curved shaft that is 3 1/2" in circumference, and a flared, flat, oval head that's about 1 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. The broad, flat tip works very well for applying firm pressure to the g-spot. I find that the shape works best for rapid, short thrusts, or for simply pressing into my g-spot. It is also a great shape to stimulate the clit and surrounding area for anyone who, like me, prefers a wider surface rather than pinpointed vibrations.

The design is attractive, modern and feminine. I wouldn't call it discreet, but I'd be much less embarassed to have someone find this pretty little thing than a huge, realistic dildo.

My only complaint about Gigi's appearance is the colour mine came in. I generally avoid pink toys, but in the picture it looked like a pretty and unique shade of pale, dusty rose. When my Gigi arrived I was disappointed to find that it was a run-of-the-mill bubblegum pink. I wish I'd gone with purple or turquoise instead.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Gigi's vibrations are quite strong, yet very quiet. It can't be heard from beneath a thick comforter, and definitely not through a door. The vibrations are equally strong throughout the shaft, and I can't tell where the motor is located. Vibrations can be felt in the handle but aren't strong enough to numb my hand. The vibrations are medium in frequency, and are right around the depth that is most effective for me. It is very close in frequency and strength to Mona, and higher pitched than Siri.

Gigi's controls are a bit different than those on my other Lelo toys, since it is one of their older designs. It has one large circular panel marked with 4 symbols, rather than 4 individual buttons, but the controls work the same way. The buttons are located quite close together, and the way the handle is designed means that it's difficult not to have your hand touching them, but I haven't had a problem with accidentally changing the settings. You actually have to hold the buttons down for a split second before releasing in order to change the setting, so a quick bump usually doesn't do it.

Holding the + button turns the vibrations on, and holding the - turns them off. There are 8 speeds and you can hold down the + or - buttons, or press them repeatedly to increase or decrease the speed. The arrow buttons take you through the following vibration patterns:

1. slow pulsing
2. faster pulsing
3. very fast pulsing
4. wave (gradually increasing then decreasing)

I never actually use the patterns, but I think it's nice that Lelo gives you the option of changing the speed for each one. Gigi doesn't remember the last setting you used, and always turns on to steady vibrations.

The controls can be locked by holding down all 4 buttons down for a few seconds until the light goes off. It unlocks the same way, except that the light turns on to show you it's unlocked. This makes Gigi a great choice for travel.

The area around the buttons lights up whenever you press a button, and also works as a charging indicator. It flashes red when Gigi's running low on power, flashes white during charging, and glows steadily when Gigi is fully charged.

Gigi's charging port is located in the end of the toy, beneath an attached silicone plug. A full charge takes 2 hours, and will last up to 4 hours.

Care and Maintenance

Gigi should be cleaned with warm water and soap. Since it isn't waterproof, you must avoid getting water near the charging port or buttons. Lelo recommends using water based lube, since silicone based lube could make the toys surface permanently tacky. If you want to use a silicone lube, they advise performing a patch test first. Gigi comes with a satin, drawstring pouch that works well for storage. It should be stored away from toys made of other materials.

Packaging

Lelo's packaging is attractive and high quality, and would work well for a gift, or for storage. Gigi comes in a thin cardboard box that matches the colour of your toy and has LELO written in silver letters. Inside is a matte, black box made from heavier cardboard. Gigi is in a molded plastic tray with a plastic cover. Beneath the tray is the charger, storage pouch, manual, and warranty. Gigi has a 1 year warranty, and a 10 year quality guarantee; if it breaks within a year you get a free replacement, and if it breaks in the next 10 years you get 50% off your next Lelo toy. If you go to the Lelo website you can register your Gigi using the code on the back of the warranty booklet.

Personal comments

I really like to use Gigi as a clit vibrator during sex with my partner. It works much better for this than my Siri does. The vibration frequency is much more effective for me, and the handle makes it easier for me to reach and hold onto. The low noise level also helps make it my top choice for partner use.

I think a big part of the reason I use my Gigi more for clit stimulation is because I got it at the same time as Mona and I prefer Mona for internal use. Both stimulate my g-spot very well, but Mona has the bonus of also giving me a full feeling.
Follow-up commentary
I've owned Gigi for over 8 months now. It still looks and works like brand new, and is still one of my favourites.

I use it almost exclusively as a clitoral vibrator, but it is nice to have the option of using it for my g-spot, especially when I only want to bring one toy over to my boyfriend's house.

The handle helps me to reach my clit more easily in some sex positions (eg. me on top, doggy style), but it can also get in the way in some other positions where our bodies are close together (eg. missionary.)

I've actually been thinking about getting Liv because I think it would have the same strong, quiet vibrations as Gigi, but would be in contact with my clit while lying flat against my body, instead of having the handle held out at an angle. But I think a big part of the reason Gigi works well for me is the flat head, so I'm not sure if Liv would be as good for me. If I do end up getting Liv, I'll talk about how it compares to Gigi in my Liv review.

This is a really good review. This has made my deciion a little easier about getting this or not. I only have one question. Is the battery life really as long as it is supposed to be? Thanks!

mh11 - The manual says it can last up to 4 hours, but that's probably on low. I always use it on high, so it doesn't last that long. I've never actually timed it, but I'd say it lasts at least 1 hour on high. I usually get about 4 uses out of it before I have to recharge. Hope that helps!

actually though i'm working on my review right now- yes for internal stimulation it was a bit uncomfortable unless i rocked it against my pubic bone. I can only take like 4 max 5 inches inserted and though i was initially drooling over the shape on the tip it felt the same as when you're having sex and your cervix gets bruised- except it wasn't against my cervix. its quite hard and has little give to it though the silicone is quite nice. I used it more on my clit and she seemed to enjoy the vibrations(shrug)

    • How easy is the Gigi- G Spot Vibrators to use during sex?
    • I think it's more of a solo toy. You should look at the We vibes.

I think it works pretty well for this purpose. I use it simultaneously with a dildo all the time. Is it the best for this purpose? I would say you'd be better off using a smaller vibrator such as the Lelo Siri which is another personal favorite of mine during piv sex. Although it is pretty easy to use the Gigi. Works in all positions where your body isn't completely pressed against a surface or your partner's body. You'll need to give a little space in between you and your partner to fit the toy but it still works really well.

  • Lelo Gigi - Using a Condom or Not
    • I have recently bought the Gigi vibrator from LELO.

For my first use, I used a condom to cover the Gigi (the brand I used is Lifestyles Studded). After removing the condom, I noticed that the lubricant, from the inside the condom, left a kind of oily residue on the Gigi. I tried to use my toy cleaner to remove it, but I am slightly worried

I am worried that the lubricant from this condom is not water-based. Now, I have a few questions that I was unable to research answers to.

      1) Was the condom I used water-based?
      2) Have I ruined my new Gigi?
      3) Is it best to use a condom on the Gigi or not?

Any advice/help will be much appreciated.

      - Dr. Manhattan
    • From what I can find via Google, it looks like the lubricant in that condom isn't a silicone lubricant so it should be okay.

Lubricant Ingredients: Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Phenonip, Carbomer

I don't think you're ruined anything. If you're concerned you might want to try to find a different type of condom that leaves less residue. I have no suggestions because almost all condoms irritate me and since I'm fluid bonded with my partner we don't use them.

What would you recommend to clean the Gigi? I currently have a toy cleaner called "Swiss Navy."

Will using soap and water be bad for the Gigi? At least just for the silicone part of the vibrator?

  • is jt worth it
    • Is the product worth the price ????
    • I'm pretty sure we answered a similar set of questions about the pros and cons of expensive vibrators.
    • Quote: Is the product worth the price ????
Absolutely!! I bought mine a couple years ago after (literally) melting my previous one. Between the cost of having to replace my vibrators and the batteries constantly, I went for it and have no regrets!! Gigi is a regular part of our sex life! However, I use it only for cliteral stimulation (which works for me) so I can't speak if you are interested in G-spot usage.
The one drawback is I've found that I tend to hit the speed controls during use. Otherwise, the warranty is great (though i've never had one problem with it), it's easy to keep clean and store, and I LOVE that it's rechargable.
      Enjoy!

I highly recommend the Gigi for G-spot play. It's firm enough to stimulate it with the amount of pressure needed, but velvety enough to not be too much. Additionally the vibration settings I found to be ideal for pressing against my G-spot. Just have a towel ready!
    • Quote: I'd like to try a g-spot vib, but i dont know if this should be the one to buy...Any comments?
I would recommend the Gigi for g-spot play. I will point out though that if you have a g-spot that is on the further side in terms of depth in the vagina, or if like me your vaginal canal has a sharp curve to it then you should look for a toy that is longer than the Gigi. I love the Gigi as a clitoral vibrator but based on my anatomy it didn't do much for me as a g-spot stimulator. Take your anatomy into consideration before you buy a toy for g-spot play. If you are like me and think you'll need a more lengthy toy try the G-Spot Pink glass stimulator. I'm currently working on a review for that toy and it is a personal favorite of mine.

  • Charging Gigi in the UK
    • FiredrakeNemmy
So uh, my gf lives across the pond in England and I wanted to get a little something to bring her next I go visit.

She really likes the use of the Gigi vibrator but I'm worried about the charging of the toy, I learned to be wary of such things when I blew out the power to my Wii :X

But anyways, if anyone who has one could kindly take a look at the allowed voltages I would really appreciate it. The voltage info can usually be found on the charger itself ( a bunch of random numbers and such and has that UL logo ) Does it list the Input as 100V-240V or just something around 100V?

      Thanks!

They're good for 100-240V. I charged mine while living abroad just fine.
    • The charger I have with mine has the 100V-240V range.

You might also look at getting a charger specifically for using the Gigi in England.

    • My 22nd birthday is coming up which means birthday monies <3 I'm trying to see if I can orgasm with my gspot but haven't had any luck. I've been close but no beans yet. I'm debating getting this to see if it'll work for me, plus I'm trying to go off birth control, it's made my sex drive completely dissappear after 2 years of being on it, not to mention making me depressed, moody, etc.

Anyway, would this be recommended? Where's the vibration, though? More in the shaft towards the buttons or more at the tip? And is it plenty strong? (I need strong vibrations.)

I'll have to order at a time my dad won't be home, though, and make sure it arrives when he's at work--how embarassing it'd be for me for him to find out I have toys!

  • is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?
    • My friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it.

My Gigi is on its way, so I'm not much help there... Although, whenever I read about female ejaculation the Ella is usually involved.

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out.

Miss KissThis totally beat me to the punch! If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

  • Best G-spot vibrator. Which one to pick?
    • Rachell25
LELO has presented a couple of very well designed G-spot vibrators, like Gigi, Liv and Elise, lately. Just looking at them makes me feel horny. They all have great features and different vibration modes and they are also rechargeable, so I can safe my money on batteries.
Gigi seems to be the toy of my dreams due to its well pronounced curved tip. I guess that will lead to a better contact with my G-spot.
Any ideas, suggestions, tips? Anything will do.

PS: Will Gigi make me squirt???
    • Rainbow
Wow... that looks really splendid, in fact, all of them do.
It looks like it's going to be my G-spot's best friend for ages.

That must be a bargain but it is kind of expensive for me at the moment but as soon as I can afford one I will surely have one in my toy box.
    • Siren
My dear, not every woman is able to "squirt", it depends on every woman's physiology but it is definitely going to send you to Seven's Heaven of Pleasure.
I own one, the Liv, and it's just terrible, in the good meaning of the word.
I can assure you, you made a perfect choice if you're looking for G-spot stimulation.
