What Is This Thing For?

I was super excited about how cute the toy was, but was very disappointed with the performance. If you don't need much vibration, I suppose it would work for you, if you have somewhere soundproof to use it.

Pros:
Cute design, compatible with all lubes
Cons:
Super noisy, not very powerful, fuzz-collector

Use

So, the whole concept of the Twisted Hearts vibrator is that it is a heart, twisted to look like this. I thought it was a cute concept, and when I saw that it was 'designed by women, for women' I figured I couldn't go wrong. However, apparently I got caught up on the cuteness, and forgot to ask myself one question, which hit me as soon as I opened the box: What do you do with it?

Yes, it vibrates. But it's pretty thick, and then you have those nubby things that stick out, and they aren't perfectly placed for any sort of stimulation... so they are just, well, there. So it's hard to say if it was meant for penetration, or just clitoral stimulation.

Material / Texture

The Twisted Hearts Seduction is made of TPR which is non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalate free. While TPR is flexible, this toy seems to use a mere coating of TPR over plastic, so it is soft, but not flexible. It isn't as soft as a jelly toy, but it's softer than one of the velvet texture toys. The nice part is that the TPR extends to the base of the toy, where the control is, so that it's easy to turn on or off even with lubed-up hands. There is a slight smell, but nothing bothersome.
    • Light odor
    • Soft
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

The design is, well, a little odd. The tip of the insertable portion has a diameter of about 1.5 inches, which is pretty dang thick. It does get skinnier in the middle, but the whole length of the insertable portion of it is only about 4 inches. I just really don't understand the little nubs on the sides of it though. I get that it's part of the whole 'heart' thing, but I'm not really sure they serve a function. At first I thought, clit and G-spot? But no, they don't line up that way. Clit and anal? No, not that either. That is the one thing that makes me think that maybe it is more for clitoral stimulation, instead of insertion.

The bottom portion unscrews so that you can insert 2 AAA (yes, AAA) batteries. That is also the end that you can turn to dial up the power of the vibration.

I'd say that you could probably travel with this. It's fairly discreet-looking because it doesn't really look like a vibrator. It's also fairly short in length, so it's easy to hide.

    • Discreet look/design
    • Partner play
    • Whimsical / artistic

Functions / Performance / Controls

The turn-knob on the bottom is easy to use and seems fairly solid. It doesn't seem like it would come off or anything after vigorous use. The lowest speed is probably one of the noisiest toys I've heard on low speed, and is also one of the weakest. It's not impressive in the slightest. The noise only increases with the increase in speed, and the highest vibration is still nothing to get excited about. I got off, but it was far from mind blowing.

The toy is waterproof, but I didn't test out that aspect of it.
    • Noisy
    • Weak

Care and Maintenance

With TPR, you can use any kind of lube. Cleanup is just warm, soapy water. It is a fuzz-collector, so I kept the box to store it in after it dries when I clean it. You shouldn't store it next to toys that are made of similar materials.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The box was see-through, and cute. It had all kinds of swirly markings on it, and some information about the toy on the back. It is a bit large compared to the size of the toy, and since I chose to store the toy in the box so that it didn't collect dust, it would be nice if it was a bit smaller.

    • Not discreet
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

I got the toy as a free gift with an order. Had I paid for it, I'd probably be rather disappointed. It probably won't get used a whole lot.
Follow-up commentary
I guess it just wasn't my thing. It wasn't enough for clitoral stimulation, and it wasn't much for being inserted.

I'm glad someone else was confused and disappointed with this. All the other glowing reviews had me thinking mine was broken or something.

@stinkytofu10- It really is much bigger than you would think from the pics on EF. It's very awkward.

Oh, weird! This toy is just an awkward size and shape...add in that it's loud and I am definitely not interested, even though it's free.

Thank you for the review!

Wow, that is thick for a toy that isn't flexible!

    • I had two of these that I hadn't used before and I got around to opening one and there was some damage to the toy. It looked partially melted coming straight out of the box as if someone had poured silicon lube on a side of it. So I went to open the other one I had and the same thing was happening to the other. My sub had one of these too and his was affected with the same thing. Could this have possible been a bad batch [we got them from when they were giving them out as free gifts with any order] Has anyone else had this problem with this toy?
    • I haven't had any problems with mine, but I have heard of a lot of people having issues with this toy.

  • Using unconventionally designed toys.
    • I appreciate being creative as much as any other toy user, but sometimes I just want unusual products to come with suggestions in the style of airplane emergency cards. Just a nice visual rundown of possible uses and positions. I have some graphic design skills, maybe that's my calling?
    • Some toys do; it really depends on the toy. I know The Cone did have some illustrations with it - as did the Joya toys. Some don't, though, but reviews are usually pretty good at talking about how they used it, and you can usually get some good ideas from those!
    • Good thought! I remember loving the little suggested use icons when I first got my Cone.

    • Has anyone tried inserting it? it is kind of huge.

I actually thought of it as non-insertable. According to the description, however, "only about an inch of the wide tip is comfortably insertable".
