Best Hand Cream I have ever had!I feel that if you have the money to indulge yourself, this hand cream is a real treat. It smells and feels wonderful. If you are a hand cream monster, or need extra moisturization for chapped or dry hands, go somewhere else. You can get lotions that are extra moisturizing or have loads of aloe and stuff in larger bottles for lower prices. For a general use lotion to make yourself feel pampered, this stuff really is the best, and is all natural!
All natural, feels great, no residue, smells amazing
High cost, small container, hard to find in stores
This hand lotion is really great for everyday use. The bottle is fairly small, so it can be stored in a purse/bag, and it smells and feels really amazing. If you have extra dry or chapped hands, I would pick something more for that purpose as this is more of a general moisturizer, and makes your hands feel nice and slightly moisturized without leaving residue.
This lotion is very silky and soft, a bit creamy, but not thick. I find it a lot lighter than most moisturizing hand creams, and it doesn't leave any oily or sticky residue. I myself hate creams that leave a heavy feeling or any sort of residue, and this stuff absorbs right in and makes my hands smell nice and feel soft. It's not too thin, so it doesn't drip right off, and you don't need very much to cover both hands and rub right in. You could use it on your body or feet, but it seems to work best for hands only...the texture seems made for making them feel nice. It also doesn't make my hands slippery, which is great, because I use them lots and don't want strange residues.
It's smells..AMAZING. I want to buy the other scents to try them out, as I hadn't realized that they make more. It wasn't until I wandered onto their website that I realized they also make orange which is a favourite scent of mine! It smells like vanilla and cake, without being too overpowering. It leaves your hands lightly scented, and doesn't smell like it's full of weird chemicals or syrup. Way nicer scent than any other of the standard 'lotion' scents I've tried.
The little bottle I got lasted me for over a year, although I was stingy with it because I loved it so much. It stayed creamy and lovely the whole time, and never lost it's scent or nice texture. It absorbs well and doesn't need to be washed off or vigorously rubbed into the skin, and I felt comfortable eating or working on paintings right after without worrying about residue.
I love cake's packages, they are very pretty and nicely designed, and suit the product well. The only qualm is that the bottle is shaped like those annoying shampoo bottles with the large bottoms. They are easy to squeeze in the beginning, but near the end it is really hard to get product out and it seems like a waste. It's better than hard plastic bottles you have to hit to get it out, but something else might work better.
Cakes products are made with 90% or higher all natural ingredients: things like brown sugar, and natural oils and scents. I suspect this hand lotion would taste wonderful due to the ingredients, it is called Cake after all! That's why the higher price seems justified to me for such a wonderful, all natural product.
I am a total cake fangirl because of this lotion, and can't wait to get my hands on more of their products. I have a huge lipgloss kink, so that is definitely coming next. I normally don't use lotion, but I wanted to use this stuff every day!
I got this as a gift, and wasn't sure about it, as I'm not that much of a hand cream fan/user. I loved it though! I was super stingy with it because it's expensive for the size and hard to find in stores where I live, but every time I used it was a total treat. I love love love their scents and can't wait to try more of their products! I'm an artist and am always using my hands and touching things I want to not get greasy or covered in lotion goobers, and this lotion kept my hands moisturized and smelling nice without getting on anything.
