Not So Wonderful
Definitely regretting making this purchase. Don't recommend to anyone, but if you absolutely have to try it, try it in a bathroom or some room with floors that can be cleaned easily. It really penetrates a mattress and God forbid it gets on carpet!Published: December 7, 2011
Pros:
Easy to spray
Cons:
Hard to clean away, Allergy causing, Smells awful, Smell wont go away
This product is not all it's cracked up to be. I didn't realize it was literally a powder, first of all. If you go and spray it too close to anything, you're stuck with a white tint of powder that only the strongest vacuum (thank God we have one) can get rid of. It also has an absolutely horrible smell. You get the vanilla, but there's this musky smell behind it that is a huge turn-off. I personally don't see how this could get anyone in the mood.
What's worse? I tried to use it three times. I give almost everything three chances before I throw it away or knock it completely. Now I'm regretting those three chances because I cannot get the smell out of our bedroom. My husband is sneezing and sneezing at night like he never was in this life, and even guests complain of a funky smell. We just blame it on anything we can while we hurry and turn the fan on and open the windows to get rid of the scent a little. It has literally penetrated the little carpet we have in our bedroom, and even the mattress seems to smell like this stuff.
I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I'm having the cleaners come on Monday to try and get the carpet smelling normal, and we're buying a new mattress because no matter how much we beat it, the scent is stuck there. For now we just mask the smell with Febreeze but that just makes matters worse.
I don't recommend this if you are sensitive to smells. The smell is overpowering and the Vanilla Fields in particular is just the kind of smell you run into at an old folks home. Awful idea to purchase this stuff... BAD idea! My hubby is suffering with sneezes for my mistake. (makes a sad face)
Directions: Spray about 3 feet from whatever you are attempting to make smell "good". This will help you avoid the powdery white tint. Although, if you have dark sheets it will still be noticeable. I don't recommend this for your bedroom. If anything, use it in a bathroom. But I'm begging you not to try this stuff.

Experience
Obviously didn't have a good experience with this one. Never purchasing anything like this again!
Follow-up commentary

Obviously hate this stuff. Not sure why it says five stars but I'll have to fix that. AWFUL. NEVER AGAIN.

I have bigger concerns with a couple other ingredients. Still want to try it lightly, though.

Silky Sheets
-
Was just wondering if anyone else uses this product for anything other than the sheet spray? When I used to demo this product, I would demo it for deoderant, under the breast spray to help with absorbing moisture and a few other uses. What do YOU use it for?
-
That's a good idea cmex84! I want to try this but I'm not sure which scent I should try. I was thinking about the "make me blush" becuase I would like to order the body spray. Any suggestions?
-
The only thing I wanted to use it for was to freshen up my bedroom - I share it with a large puppy.
But the vanilla I tried had a butane aroma that drowned out the vanilla scent. It's not something I'd want on my skin, but I'm not a fan of talc.

Using Silky Sheets to Dry Spot
-
I know a lot of people say that Silky Sheets works well to dry wet spots but.. I haven't had any luck with this at all. If anything, it only seems to make it worse! Maybe I am using too much? Too little? Not doing the hokey pokey?
So how can I use this to get the best spot drying? Any advice is welcome -

Anyone? -
Hehe hokey pokey. That's sad, I've been wanting these. I hope you figure it out!

Thank you for viewing Silky sheets – spray review page!

Wow. As someone who is very sensitive to smells, I'll avoid this.
Thanks for the review.
I'm sorry this was so bad for you. I don't like most things that are supposed to smell like "vanilla." We use the Mystical Musk, and not only do I have allergies, but I have migraines and this scent doesn't bother either of them!
I think the specific scent has a lot to do with the quality of Silky Sheets. I LOVE ours. We're on our 3rd bottle, but I wouldn't buy the vanilla scent.
I'm sorry this was so awful for you.
Thanks for the review - and the warning about the smell. I think I'll be avoiding this as well.
Ugh! Sounds horrible. Thanks for the warning.
