Pheromone "Phail"

This product is totally worth it based on the scent: the silky luxurious feeling it gives the sheets, and the powder that dries up dampness. However, I wouldn't buy it if you're looking for a turn-on. The pheromones are most likely a load of bull. Don't let that stop you though.

Use

Silky Sheets is a pheromone spray intended for turning you on while also making your bed smell fresh. It can be used before sex to make the sheets feel fresh and yummy or after to help dry up the wet spots that usually appear after sex. It can be used similarly to Febreeze. It makes sheets smell and feel luxurious. It is enhanced with pheromones and can be used to entice your partner.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Silky Sheets is a powder mist and comes out exactly how it sounds. I found this out the hard way when I held it too close to our dark purple sheets and sprayed. There was a small white powder-y layer on top of them. If this happens to you, it washes out easily, so don't worry. Just make sure you hold the can about 8 inches away from the surface you are spraying, and there shouldn't be too much residue. It goes on pretty thin and smells amazing. It is very smooth and actually makes your sheets feel silky. I spray ours with it almost every day just to freshen the room up a little bit.

Taste / Aroma

Of the various Silky Sheets scents, I chose Spring Rain, and I highly recommend it. It doesn't smell too sweet or too musky, and it just makes the room feel fresh. The scent actually reminds me a lot of fabric softener or laundry detergent. It is very mild, and it is good for those with sensitive noses.

As far as taste goes, I'm not even going to try. I would recommend that you don't either, and it is definitely not made for tasting.

Performance

This spray supposedly contains pheromones to get you going, but I highly doubt that it contains any/enough to really make a difference. However, I did not buy this product expecting a difference in moods. I bought it for the freshening effect, the smell, and the silkiness. If you are looking for a pheromone enhancer, stay away from this product. We didn't notice a difference in sex drive at all. We're much more active than the average couple!

Packaging

The can comes in a bag that is rolled up and taped shut. Once you remove the bag, you have a typical aerosol can with a removable cap. It did not come with instructions as they are clearly labeled directly on the can.

The front of mine says:

Special Features

Supposedly pheromones are the special feature of this spray. I don't really believe it. Why aren't they listed in the ingredients? This spray makes me feel clean - not horny.

Personal comments

This spray is great for after sex, I have found. The talc (when sprayed properly) dries up wet spots nicely, and it makes the room smell very pleasant. It makes the sheets feel soft and silky, and it makes the bed feel much more clean than when I usually do after going a few rounds with the boyfriend.

Experience

The only negative experience that I had with Silky Sheets was when I first used it and didn't really understand how it should be used. Now that I know about the talc and keeping it a certain distance from the bed, I have no problems. I really do like this product. I just wouldn't recommend it based on the "sexual attractant" claims.
Follow-up commentary
The powder residue really annoys me, since we have black sheets. I prefer Febreze or Lysol Fabric Mist. There are no pheromones that I know of anyway, so the other ones are just as good of a buy.

Fantastic review, I have this as well and I'm pretty depressed about the whole pheromones thing.

Great review. Scientists don't know exactly what role pheromones play in humans, much less do adult product manufacturers.

Thanks for the review. My husband has this on the way, I don't think there is much truth behind the pheromones claim, but I have noticed that most do like the smell.

I appreciate you mentioning the residue issue if you stand to close, I was wondering if that was what people were having issues with.

You asked why the pheromones weren't included in the ingredients? They are: Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Reconstituted Adronone are all pheromones.

I agree they don't really make you horny, but they are in there. I did a Google search on all the ingredients when I did my review of this stuff, to make sure.

How exactly does powder make sheets feel silky?

03/17/2011
allehcat (verified)

P'Gell- I know those are technically pheromones. I looked it up too. But they're not the ones that humans respond to, according to a few studies. So..maybe it will make the family dog horny?

dv8- the powder is very thin. It's not like coating your sheets with baby powder. I can't exactly explain it, but they really do feel nice.

  • Silky Sheets
    • Was just wondering if anyone else uses this product for anything other than the sheet spray? When I used to demo this product, I would demo it for deoderant, under the breast spray to help with absorbing moisture and a few other uses. What do YOU use it for?
    • That's a good idea cmex84! I want to try this but I'm not sure which scent I should try. I was thinking about the "make me blush" becuase I would like to order the body spray. Any suggestions?
    • The only thing I wanted to use it for was to freshen up my bedroom - I share it with a large puppy.
But the vanilla I tried had a butane aroma that drowned out the vanilla scent. It's not something I'd want on my skin, but I'm not a fan of talc.

  • Using Silky Sheets to Dry Spot
    • I know a lot of people say that Silky Sheets works well to dry wet spots but.. I haven't had any luck with this at all. If anything, it only seems to make it worse! Maybe I am using too much? Too little? Not doing the hokey pokey?

So how can I use this to get the best spot drying? Any advice is welcome
    • -bumps this up-
      Anyone?
    • Hehe hokey pokey. That's sad, I've been wanting these. I hope you figure it out!
