The LAYAspot is a small clitoral vibrator that packs a lot of power for her size. Some say that you can use the smaller end to stimulate the first inch or so of the vagina, but I found that it works best for clitoral and labial stimulation only. You can hold the LAYAspot still, and use her varying functions in vibration and pulsation. However I found the LAYAspot is best used if you move her around, on your entire vulva, or hold it still and lightly gyrate your pelvis.

Using her with a partner is entirely possible, and also great fun. For traditional intercourse she works well if your partner enters you from behind, and you hold her on your clitoris. However she is usable in just about any position you can think of, as long as you or your partner has a free hand to position her over your clitoris.

If you require light to medium stimulation to orgasm, the LAYAspot might be the vibrator for you. While I can easily orgasm from using her for around 4 minute along with the visual aid of an erotic video, some women who require a lot of stimulation (think Hitachi magic wand) may not be able to achieve orgasm with the LAYAspot alone. However, if you require an average amount of stimulation and love clitoral vibrators, LAYAspot is a total keeper!

The LAYAspot is a combination of hard plastic with a covering of elastomed. While she is not exactly a soft toy, she is not as hard as a toy of pure hard plastic; and for her purpose the materials are great. Because she is made of elastomed and hard plastic, there is no smell at all and, she is also phthalates free! Elastomed is a lot smoother than expected. So before trying her out, I took a while to touch the material; I was very impressed by the texture of the elasomed, and thought it was placed in the perfect spots on the hard plastic to provide good stimulation.

The texture of the LAYAspot is best enjoyed with a drop or two of water-based lubricant that is applied either to the clitoris and labia, or the LAYAspot herself. The part of her that comes in contact directly with the clitoris and labia is completely elastomed, so no need to worry about hard plastic being too rough on your sensitive areas.

The LAYAspot comes in a wide variety of colors, and looks more like an abstract sculpture than a traditional vibrator. So for those who don't want a toy that screams "I'm a sex toy!", the LAYAspot is the perfect solution. She is very friendly and not the least bit intimidating, so it would also be great for a first vibrator. The different settings of vibration and pulsation, are controlled by a plus and minus side located on the top of the vibrator. The location of the controls make her easy to use with one hand, since there are no complicated buttons or dials.

She is much smaller than you would think by looking at her on the screen, and is great for travel. I went to Spain over the summer, and she traveled with me over the Atlantic and through customs just fine. Again, she looks more like an abstract sculpture than a traditional vibrator. She's amazing for travel.

The controls which are a simple plus and minus sign, are a great idea and easy to use. However, sometimes the buttons get stuck and you have to push a couple times before it will advance to the next vibration level. The battery compartment is very easy to open and close, yet stays shut during use.

I tried the toy out at first when I lived in a dorm last semester, and the toy cannot be heard through a door, and can barely be heard through heavy covers. If you are worried about the noise, simply put on the TV, or music, at a low volume and nothing will be heard.

While this toy is listed as water resistant, I have not yet tried it out in the shower. I am hesitant because while I battery compartment is sturdy, it does not seem to be something that would be fully waterproof.

The LAYAspot is very easy to store. I keep mine in a small fabric pouch, and put her in my underwear drawer; since I don't have enough toys yet that I need a specific toy box. She can be cleaned easily with with mild soap and water, or your favorite toy cleaner. Caring for her is a total breeze and is not a daunting task at all.

I was really anxious to try out the LAYAspot, and quickly rushed over to get my water-based lube and put on an erotic video.
