Superstrap
I honestly believe that despite the cons of this strap, it's worth it for beginners because of how easy it is to use, not intimidating, and very affordable. With a little ingenuity, you can install it in minutes, remove it in seconds, and even try using it somewhere else that might turn you on (a couch, a door, a table, sky's the limit!). And if you really like this peek into bondage play, upgrade to a stronger strap or merely reinforce this one.

This toy is perfect for the beginner, and those who worry about little eyes. That being said I do think it is a little overpriced. $30 for 1 eight foot piece of nylon, d-rings and a plastic clasp? 2 straps at that price would be awesome! But it still holds an active place on our play roster.

This set is pretty but less than functional. It’s great to use to accessorize an outfit, but if you want to incorporate much struggling into your hog tie play you’d be better off using other cuffs with the hog tie piece. The cuffs are uncomfortable to wear if you plan to move your arms or legs against them, and they scratch and dig into your skin.

While it's pretty, and I really wanted it to work, it doesn't work as a hogtie set. It doesn't seem to be able to hold any weight and isn't well made. If you want a set for fashion or photography purposes, this will work, but if you want to actually play with your bondage set, find a different hogtie set.

The only drawback of this product is that the buckles are not made to use with every set of cuffs. However, they can be easily modified to work with whatever you have. The Tie-Ups are very well made and can withstand lots of pulling.

Bound by diamonds ankle cuffs
The product itself as an ankle restraint fails in all categories. It's uncomfortable. Any shift of movement has hard edges cutting in to your skin. It's not breathable and very hot - and not in a hot and sexy type of way. You tug on it and the ribbon gives. It all had good intentions, but it just didn't meet the expectations. It would work great as a prop in a photo, but definitely not as a hardcore bondage restraint.

If you're using these on yourself to excite your partner from the visual aspect, these will do the trick as they are super cute and sexy (as long as you don't look too closely to see they look pretty cheaply made). Functionally, the tie closures can be annoying to deal with in the middle of "things" and the ribbon tends to feel looser pretty quickly. Also,the vinyl-like material can get sticky and uncomfortable and the edges can rub your skin raw (not sexy).

Designed to be sexy, feminine, unintimidating beginner cuffs, these unfortunately fall far short in the execution. Poorly made of low-quality materials, they are uncomfortable, can't be closed well enough to stay put in even light use, and look like a small child's version of bondage cuffs. Aimed at beginners, they seem to be hoping that a beginner won't notice that these are basically a novelty item that won't be very usable.

Tie - ups adjustable waist belt
In a word, unsatisfactory. The adjustable waist belt will only fit those with a 32 inch waist or smaller. Which in my opinion, leaves it on the market for only a very small percentage of people to actually use. Once again, a Doc Johnson products falls under the category of "it could have been great", but simply failed to satisfy expectations.

Overall this item was pretty to look at, but just not terribly effective in use. I was also disappointed at the slipshod production and lack of care in packaging. While beginners may enjoy this product for all the reasons nylon is great --easy on the skin, some elasticity-- I do not think Leatherbeaten's Rope Play is the best representation for newbies of the beauty of nylon rope. Freshcuts may do better to pick some up at the hardware store and burn/shape the ends themselves.

Spreader with snap hooks
I had hoped that I had finally found my new favorite kink toy; a spreader bar to hold my legs apart as I scream and came and tried to pull my legs together.
