Wasted Waist Belt

In a word, unsatisfactory. The adjustable waist belt will only fit those with a 32 inch waist or smaller. Which in my opinion, leaves it on the market for only a very small percentage of people to actually use. Once again, a Doc Johnson products falls under the category of "it could have been great", but simply failed to satisfy expectations.

To put it simply, you have to be small (the size of the model on the package) in order to use the adjustable waist belt.

At its most extended (i.e. as far as the clips would adjust without coming off), the waist belt measures about 36 inches (at best). However, once fastened, it proves to be much more snug, as I have a 32 inch waist and it was a tight fit. Therefore, it is only really useful for people with a 32 inch waist or smaller. Similarly, you have to have a smaller waist for the adjustable straps to be useful. In this regard, I don't know who this is really meant for, because you need to have a 32 inch waist or smaller in order to use it. This is unfortunate, because that means it cannot be used on male partners or the majority of female ones.

Though due to the strength of the nylon material, double stitching, and extra padding, I was determined to find a use for the belt. Wrapped around the slatted footboard or slatted headboard of a bed proved to be one alternative, which you can then be cuffed to (as an alternative to rope bindings or handcuffs).

Initially, I tried using the waist belt with the tie-ups cuffs pair, also by Doc Johnson. Sure, the buckles fit into place, but the belt and cuffs together simply proved to be awkward and uncomfortable. As I said before, it was already a snug fit around my waist and so any "role play" struggling left me out of breath, because the belt would dig into my stomach. If I wanted breath play, I'd pursue it another way.

Overall it was disappointing to be unable to use the waist belt for its intended use along with the other Doc Johnson tie-up products. I only bothered to give it one star, because it could still be useful to those who are small enough to use it.

Did you check the measurements out before buying it?

So to be clear...it does NOT come with the wrist straps you need?

I was confused for while into your review because you didn't explain the purpose of the item in the beginning just assumed we knew what it was. It wasn't until you linked us to the other product.

I wouldn't say that it can't be used on guys because of the 32 inch waist thing. Guys can have small waists too. Maybe I am misunderstanding your reasoning for this?
