Superstrap is an Ok Strap

I honestly believe that despite the cons of this strap, it's worth it for beginners because of how easy it is to use, not intimidating, and very affordable. With a little ingenuity, you can install it in minutes, remove it in seconds, and even try using it somewhere else that might turn you on (a couch, a door, a table, sky's the limit!). And if you really like this peek into bondage play, upgrade to a stronger strap or merely reinforce this one.

Use

The best use for this strap is on the bed, though I see no reason one can't get creative with it since it's adjustable. It might wrap around a door nicely but it won't be discreet. And I would make sure the door is sturdy enough for the activity first.

It's adjustable, easy to install, and great for creative uses, which makes it great for beginners as well as more advance users. Though for the more advanced bondage players, you'll want to reinforce the strap with some kind of alteration to the buckle.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The design is simple, it's a 14-foot strap with 5 D-rings attached and a plastic buckle at the end, akin to those on backpacks. The strap itself is just fine in it's quality, not the best but not the worst. I wouldn't say it was amazingly strong but it's not easy torn either. But it's the buckle that I have a slight issue with. Being just a plastic buckle, it won't hold up to more than mild struggling when in use. In fact, the buckle popped when I was merely tightening down the strap to the bed. But it didn't pop when I used it though we did restrain ourselves to prevent issues.

Since my bed is only a Queen, the extra strap leftover is enough to tie it to itself to help secure it from popping open; but if you have a king sized bed, it could be a little more difficult as there will be less slack. So it's important to have a little ingenuity to reinforce the strap if you plan on putting any great amount of pressure on it or heavy to severe struggling in your bondage play.

But for beginners and only mild bondage play, it's great. It's also easy to hide under the pillows and not intimidating at all.

Performance

The strap held up well to light struggling and it was very nice to have multiple D-rings for better positioning. The main issue is that there's no way to tighten it enough to the bed to let out all the extra slack and prevent it from moving. So it won't be the best for advanced users in that regard. It can and will slide up or down the bed and the 'prisoner' will be able to lift the strap from the mattress at least a few inches. If used on a door or harder furniture like a futon, you'll be able to tighten it further though.

Care and Maintenance

Though no care information was packaged with the strap, it's pretty easy to take a damp washcloth to and wipe clean. Just make sure it's dry before storing to decrease the chances of mold or degrading. You can either leave it on the bed and hide it under pillows or sheets or you and pull it off, which it will do easily, and store it in a bag or in a drawer.

Packaging

The strap comes in a small plastic container. It was easy to open but lacked extra information. Since I have moderate understanding in a foreign language, I noticed on the back in every language except English that it says there's an instruction DVD but it's not included.

If you have a twin or double bed, it might not be hard to wrap it under the mattress to set up. But if you have a larger or heavier bed, you need to be creative or have help to lift the mattress.

If you get this item, here's what I suggest for how to put the strap on your bed. Tie one end to a pole, like the kind that's used for mops and brooms. It helps if there's a lip that prevents the strap from sliding off the end. Then you and weave the pole with the strap attached between the mattresses to the other side. Just go around to the other side after you push it in halfway and pull the pole the rest of the way through, along with the strap. You won't have to lift the mattress or even wait till your partner gets home to help you and now you can be ready for some fun.

Personal comments

If you're using this strap as a beginner, make sure to trust your partner and have a safe word picked out. It's easier to let go and have fun when you're secure with knowing there's a way to stop it if things get too rough for you.

Also, since this strap's D-rings are compatible with all types of handcuffs, you can buy some that have Velcro closures and are easy for the bonded person to get out of themselves for added security. And if you decide to upgrade to higher quality, buckle closure cuffs, you'll know they work with the strap as well. It will work for people of all levels of knowledge and comfort-ability with BDSM and can be use with any cuffs.
Follow-up commentary
Not that I've decided to hate this strap, but it has definitely worn out its novelty. It wasn't very stable or strong so I don't approve it for advanced users OR for decent struggling. As a beginner, it was a great introduction to basic bondage but I think for any seasoned player, it won't be enough. And after a month of this strap, I'm definitely ready for an upgrade for any future bondage play.

Neat review. I haven't actually looked into this set yet, but it doesn't look too bad.

Thanks for the review. These seem usable, but I think it's worth it to pay 20 extra bucks for something more sturdy and with buckled ends.

Thanks for the review! I have the Beginner Bondage Kit that some places sell. Ties to bedposts. So far I like that one. It sucks that "bondage" stuff is either super cheap and kinda crappy or really expensive and well made. Nothing in between most of the time. Sigh.
