I know that everybody says that the Bootie is great for beginners, and who am I to argue? As a newbie to the joys of anal play, I was turned on to Bootie due to the fact that it looked big enough to enjoy but not so big that it looked like something that should be fired out of a tank (that big thing goes where??!).

I have to admit, the thing is kind of cute. With a name like "Bootie" how can it not be, right? I guess if there is a right step into anal, it might as be with something that not only looks fun, but also looks ergonomic and comfortable. After all, we're talking about some sensitive parts here.

The Bootie proved to be easy to use, and for the relatively cheap price tag, I found it to be exceptional in quality and feel. It pushes and probes in all the right spots while doing daily (and maybe some not-so daily) activities, adding a little zing to your otherwise dull day.

The feel of the Bootie is just wonderful. The smooth silicone construction is soft and velvety with just the right amount of (non?) texture to give it an almost fleshy feel. It warms up in your hand quite nicely which means you can easily bring it up to body temperature before use if you'd like.

The Bootie is sturdy but still plenty flexible thanks to its quality solid silicone construction, which means that it's solid enough to know it is there, but not so solid that it makes long term wear or movements uncomfortable or awkward.

The Bootie's design is really quite elegant. It's simple and quite thoughtfully designed to stimulate but be out of the way. I'll commend Fun Factory here for not succumbing to the urge to just go for bulk here (which seems to be a trend in butt plugs) and instead opted to put a little bit of work into the shape and size, which may or may not be everybody's thing. To be certain, if big and bulky is what you're after, the Bootie will not please.

However, if you're into a little finesse, you'll probably enjoy the Bootie's shape and size. The tip is slightly enlarged and at an angle from the main body which allows the Bootie to sit rather ergonomically in the body while also applying strategic pressures to sensitive areas. The main body is narrow which makes it really quite comfortable to keep in place, while the base is flared into a "T" which fits quite nicely between the cheeks - both of these features really make the Bootie really easy to wear for extended periods.

Performance is very subjective where the Bootie is concerned. As I have eluded to above, the Bootie is not for everybody. Those who are already anal experts who have been stretched or prefer the feeling of something large and "definitely and unforgettably there," the Bootie will probably sorely disappoint.

That said, the Bootie performs splendidly for the anal beginner or for those who prefer to keep things dainty when it comes to their ass. It's not so small that you don't know it's there, but it's also about the right size where it almost feels natural after a while and you can go about your business while only being distracted when you want to be.

The Bootie is constructed of pure silicone which means that cleaning is really simple, and the fact that the construction is smooth and lacking any fine detail really makes cleanup extra easy. Clean the Bootie with warm soap and water, boil it, toss it in the dishwasher... Just make sure you keep it stored where it won't collect dust or hair and I'd recommend giving it a quick rinse before use just because it does tend to readily attract these sorts of things.

Nothing too fancy here. The box was rather simple and the Bootie was presented prominently behind clear plastic. Not very subtle, but what the heck, you're buying a butt plug after all! Then again, maybe Fun Factory gave this some thought too, after all it's the design of the Bootie that is it's real appeal, so why not show it off?

Personally, I really like the Bootie. Honestly, I didn't originally intend on using it myself as I had bought it for my girlfriend; however once I received it I couldn't help but to be enticed. I popped open the packaging and held it, and turned it over a few times before deciding to give it a spin. By and large I am an anal newbie, and up until this point I hadn't really thought much about butt plugs for my own use. Yet, the lure of the Bootie proved to be enough to change my mind. I'm now a convert and now a full convert to the way of the Bootie.

The Bootie really is a tool for many tasks. Solo play, intercourse, or sometimes just wearing for the sake of wearing... The Bootie adds a new layer of pleasure to just about anything you do.
