Bootie is an absolutely FANTASTIC starter plug. It is a perfect size and the base is one of the best in the business, you seriously can't beat it. Just remember to try it facing both ways, some people find one way uncomfortable and the other perfect.

Yes, it's great for beginners. In fact, I 'outgrew' this plug very quickly! But I think that for beginners having something that vibrates will relax you more and help ease the toy in- at least that is the case for me.

I agree that it's good for beginners, and Fun Factory makes quality products. In the end, it didn't stay in place for us so well, so the Mood Naughty, with a more defined neck, might have been better for us. But I don't regret getting it. It's wonderful for first-timers. I bought mine while I was waiting for the Mood Naughty to be restocked too. I'm no stranger to anal play but am very, very tight and this works very well. It seems to need a lot of lube (but that might just be me), but I highly recommend it.
