Bootie - small butt plug by Fun Factory - review by lil'one

I recently became interested in anal plugs after trying the "Plug of Lust - Small" (1" diameter) that I also purchased from EF [https://www.edenfantasys.com/anal-toys/anal-plugs/plug-of-lust]. At first it was amazing, but it started coming out as soon as I started getting used to it, and I upgraded to the "Plug of Lust - Large" (1.5" diameter) [https://www.edenfantasys.com/anal-toys/anal-plugs/plug-of-lust-large]. I found that the larger version was frustrating, as you definitely needed to warm up to insert, and it seemed to be too big for my beginner backside. I also have a thin 1" dildo that I use for anal, which is good for sliding, but it doesn't sit in place like a plug.

I ordered this product looking for a nice "in-between" plug that would stay in place better than the small, and that would hurt less than the large plug. I was in for a very pleasant surprise!

First Impressions:
Bootie is made of a nice silky silicone. It doesn't have a whole lot of drag, but it's definitely on the more flexible end of the spectrum from other toys, such as the plug of lust. You can take the tip and actually bend the whole toy in half to the point where it touches itself all along the shaft. The purple color is attractive. I must say I was expecting a larger plug, and I was a bit disappointed at first.

Material:
The material is silicone, which is the safest of sex-toy materials, as it can be sterilized. If you're not sharing it, you can really just take it to the sink when you're done, and wash with soap and water, or a sex toy cleaner. Beware that like most silicone toys, this will attract lots of lint and fuzzies. So, it should be kept in a small toy bag and rinsed off before use. Also, as this is a silicone toy, silicone lubes may react poorly. As such, you should use a nice water-based lube.

Insertion:
Based on my flexible anal dildo, I expected this to be hard to insert. I expected the squishy head to squirm around, and to not quite be able to slide in. Usually, I prefer a stiffer material. That being said, I thought that this was almost easy to insert. While it's still harder than the Plug of Lust (which is firm silicone and has a pointed tip), I still found this toy quite easy to insert. There was really no warm up required at all (except to apply a generous amount of lube).

For such a small toy, I really wasn't expecting much. Once I got it in, it was nice enough. It didn't move around, the base wasn't noticeable or annoying, and it was just sort of "meh". I didn't feel like it made a big difference over the plug of lust (small) that I owned, and in fact, by itself, I felt like it might actually be worse -- despite its larger diameter, due to its shape.

However, when I inserted a 1.5" dildo made out of hard/stiff silicone, the larger and pointed tip made all the difference over the other anal toys I own! I pretty much went from 0-100 in a matter of seconds due to the sensation of that pointy tip and the dildo pressing against each other! Once you have something for the Bootie to press against internally, it's quite amazing! Really, really amazing! I can't wait to try this out with my boyfriend!

Note: I have not tried this on my boyfriend, so I cannot say whether the size/shape is good for a man or not. However, it is on my list!
