Bootie - butt plug by Fun Factory - review by ZenaidaMacroura

I was pretty impressed when I received my Bootie in the mail. It came in a classy little package with no sleazy, half-naked people on it like most toys seem to have. It even came with some simple instructions and a sample sex toy cleaner wipe, which I thought was a nice little bonus.

The first thing I did once I opened it was wash the plug with antibacterial soap and warm water (since it's silicone, you can also sterilize it with a 10% bleach solution, boil it for three minutes, or wash it in a dishwasher—top rack, no soap). Right away I noticed the lovely, velvety texture and softness of the toy. I also found that it had no unpleasant smell, or really any smell at all, which is a definite plus.

I couldn't wait to use it, so I got some water-based lube (no silicone lube for this baby), and put some on the Bootie and some on my… bootie. The toy had already warmed up fairly quickly from the water and my hands, so it was at a good temperature. It took a few tries to get it in because the tip of the Bootie is curved and kind of blunt, and the toy I'm used to is pointier and firmer. But I did finally get the toy in, and I definitely liked the feel of it. It's a great size for a beginner. Once it was snug in my bootie, I decided it was time to get out my dildo and my Hitachi.

This was where I noticed a few minor problems. First, the base ends were a bit long and got a little in the way when I tried to use my dildo. This could also be a problem if you try to use it during sex, but some adjusting and it's fairly comfortable. Also, it wanted to pop out every time I tried to push in my dildo. I ended up having to take the plug out and flip it around so the curved end was pointing a different direction, which worked fine, but it still wanted to pop out if I clenched my muscles too hard around it. I kind of needed to clench around it to be able to really feel it after a while since it's fairly small for a plug. Again, it was still a good size for a beginner, but maybe not for an advanced player.

A plus I noticed about the Bootie was that, though the base ends were a tad too long, they were thin enough that I could leave it in for an extended period of time without it cutting into my cheeks, which was my only complaint about my other plug. The major thing I loved about the whole experience was that it definitely helped me orgasm quicker, and it was even stronger than usual. I found that I didn't even need my Hitachi with the plug in. I was so turned on, I only needed one of my less powerful vibrators to do the job.

Clean up was easy since the Bootie is silicone and has a number of ways you can clean and sterilize it. You may want to keep it in a bag, however, since it does have a way of attracting a lot of dust and lint.

The Bootie is a great beginner plug. It's the perfect size, color, and texture, and it's made of hygienic silicone. And it has a decent price tag. Aside from some minor flaws, I loved it. It's definitely a keeper.
