Aside from Icicles No. 24's not-so-normal appearance, it can be used just like any other dildo - but I assure you this is nothing like anything you have used in your life! You can insert this dildo nubby side up, or nubby side down. Both sides feel great, but I personally don't feel the nubs as much when they are inserted nubby side down. The curled handle is there for extra comfort when thrusting, but cannot be inserted into the vagina due to its angle. This is pretty obvious for experienced users, but I thought I would state that for the more inexperienced people. Rather than actually holding the end of the toy, you can simply put a finger or two inside the curl and thrust the toy inside of you as hard as you'd like. This definitely beats having to wrap your hands around a toy and breaking your back reaching to get the handle.

I feel that this toy is best for inner vaginal/clitoral stimulation only. The shape doesn't seem like an effective anal toy unless you have a partner to insert it for you. I used this toy anally and could only insert about two inches before it started to feel uncomfortable for me. No pain; insertion was smooth but wasn't a comfortable feeling for me. My fiancé likes anal toys as well, and did not find this to be an effective probe for him either. He said the nubs are just too much.

Icicles No. 24 is great for advanced users and beginners alike. I can't think of a single person that couldn't find some pleasure out of this toy, whether it be for G-spot play, clitoral stimulation, or just as a body massager. All Icicle's products are made of 100% Pyrex glass. Also known as Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a type of glass with the main glass-forming constituents silica and boron oxide. Borosilicate glasses are known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion (~3 × 10-6 /°C at 20°C), making them virtually resistant to thermal shock, more than any other common glass. Pyrex glass can be heated to temperatures between 425°F - 600°F, depending on the production company. Nonetheless, you could easily heat a glass toy in the oven without self-destruction. However, this is not recommended. Such glass is far less sensitive to thermal stress and is commonly used for the construction of reagent bottles.

You can also find Pyrex glass in your kitchen. Glass baking dishes and mixing bowls are often made of Pyrex due to how well they can withstand heat and cold. This makes Pyrex glass great for temperature play. Just be sure not to go from too hot, to extremely cold, TOO quickly. This can actually result in your toy breaking. You should always let your toy either warm up or cool down to room temperature before switching.


About 80% of this toy contains amazing texture. Don't be scared! This toy is great for advanced users, and beginners alike. Along the top side you will normally find two rows of about 20 nubs, equalling 40 nubs in total. My toy actually had two rows of 30 nubs, equallying 60. I'm not sure if mine was a defect, but I honestly didn't find it to be bothersome. These are all hand blown, so you are probably going to have a different amount of nubs no matter what. Each nub may almost seem vicious to the eye. But in reality, they are oh, so inviting to your body.

Along the sides of the "shaft" you will find several ribs. They almost look like folds of some sort. These feel especially great upon thrusting, and for me, I feel them much more when the toy is inserted down-side-up. These ribs or folds extend to the back of the toy, and look similar to the veins you find on realistic dongs.

In between the two rows of nubs, there is a somewhat deep crevasse. This adds to the way that this toy fits the vaginal canal. Mine was not as deep as some of the others I have seen, but I think this is also something that varies since each toy is hand blown.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment, and will show you exactly where each different texture is located. I am doing a review on my particular toy, so I said 60 nubs. Remember that you may have somewhere around 40 nubs, and not 60.




Aside from this little "defect" or "difference" if you will, my toy had no bothersome imperfections, cracks or bubbles. It is always a great idea to run yours hands all over your glass toys before you use them for the first time to feel for any sharp pieces that may be sticking out to hurt you. The texture of this toy, overall, is quite extreme - but not in a way that I would find to be overpowering. I would not at all be scared to reccommend this toy to a beginner, or even someone who has never used glass before.

The Icicles No. 24 has a very unique shape, as can be seen below in the photos. If you've read other reviews, or looked at this item, you are probably wondering what this toy is supposed to look like. So far we've heard a gator's tail, a serpent's tongue, a human's tongue, an octopus tentacle, or a squid penis. I agree with whoever said an octopus tentacle.

The nubs along the entire top (or bottom?) side resemble the little "suckers" along the bottom of an octopus tentacle. I love the way the handle is curved, and it personally made holding this toy a lot easier for me. The only time this toy was hard to hold, was when it got too wet. Icicles No. 24 tends to make me squirt quite often!


Something I find really nice is that this toy seems to have been designed perfectly for the vaginal canal. I work at a women's health center, and when examining a female, you can see that the upper wall of the vagina has a curve in it. This toy, nubby side up, fits that shape perfectly. I don't know if Pipedream intended Icicles No. 24 to be that way, but they sure got lucky if they didn't! This is surprisingly one of the most comfortable glass toys I have ever used.



Although the length of this toy is shorter than most, I almost couldn't tell because of the intense stimulation. My toy measured about a fourth of an inch larger than described online. But even at an insertable length less than 5 inches, it still felt like a good 6. I suppose all glass toys are different sizes since they are individually made.

This toy performed wonderfully, and I don't know if I will be able to put Icicles No.24 down for the next month or so. I think I might have found my new favorite toy for life! Each Icicles toy comes with a box which contains a specially fit hole to store your toy. If you don't want to have a sex toy box laying around, you should definitely consider buying the Phallix Pleasure Pouch. This will ensure your toy is protected from any damage.

Every Icicles toy from Pipedream comes in its own, specially designed box. The cover simply says that the box carries one "glass massager". There is nothing suggestive unless you actually know what "massager" means. The cover also shows a picture of the toy, life-sized with a matte background. When you open the front flap you get a basic overview of the toy you have purchased on the left side. On the right, your toy is safely nestled in a pre-fitted crevasse. The front flap is magnetic, and shuts pretty darn tightly. So you don't have to worry about the toy rolling out or anything like that.

Since the box itself is great for storage, and is very attractive to the eye, I would say that it is great for gifting. Buying an extra toy pouch might be a nice touch in case your friend wants to store the toy more discreetly. The 7" Phallix Pleasure Pouch is a great choice if you wish to find a bag.

I want to add that this toy doubles as an amazing body massager, not just a sex toy. Just strip down, add a few drops of massage oil, and you can easily give yourself or your partner a deep tissue massage. The nubs feel great no matter what they are rubbing against, especially the back.
