This toy has a wide multitude of uses. It can be used vaginally or orally, with sterilization/cleaning before switching orifices. We've used this toy as part of foreplay before sex, as part of foreplay before anal sex, as a prostate stimulator for myself, and anally during sex.

As this toy is glass, it has absolutely no give or forgiveness, so you should make sure not to insert it to far to prevent bruising yourself internally either vaginally or anally.

This was our first glass toy, and me and my girlfriend have both found the temperature play part of this toy a very fun part of using it. We haven't tried putting it in the fridge & freezer prior to use, but it's far cooler when at room temp during use than other toys we've had. This is very pleasant during use.

The toy is made of Borosilicate glass, which is the same material as Pyrex cookware. This creates a very smooth/solid toy. Like Pyrex, the Amethyst toy can be warmed/cooled significantly; however, sudden changes in temperature can result in the toy cracking/breaking.

For temperature play you should gradually warm the toy up. Do not take from one temperature extreme and immediately try to change it to the opposite. Like taking the toy from the freezer and putting in boiling water, etc.

The toy is glass, so it is the smoothest toy I've ever used. This makes inserting be it vaginally or anally super easy. As the toy is glass it can also be sterilized easily between uses or after use anally or by another partner.

The worry about the material is that it can potentially chip/break/crack/etc... you should always inspect the toy closely for any defects or damage, and you should stop using the toy if it has any chips, cracks, etc.

I like the design of this toy, the thickness is large enough to be fun but not too large to be difficult to insert. The smoothness of the glass also makes it easy to insert for a beginner or starting off with minimal foreplay be it anally or vaginally. It also provides a nice smooth curved side for pinpoint p-spot/g-spot play and on the other end a beaded size for texture or anal play.

The only issue with the toy is that if you want to use both ends, the toy gets super slippery with lube on it, so the other end becomes difficult to hold during use. As the toy is glass, this means if you aren't using it on top of or above a padded/soft surface you risk breaking the toy if you lose hold of it, which is super easy to do... we dropped it a few times trying to use both ends, thankfully on the bed.

We've really enjoyed using the toy as part of anal foreplay and we've both enjoyed the unique temperature aspect of the glass that we hadn't experienced with other toys up to this point.

The best things about this toy are how hard/smooth it is, which means it goes exactly where you direct it and it slides easily. The smooth end does a great job applying pressure right where you want it. The beaded end provides a nice sensation when inserted anally. This sensation is also enjoyable during vaginal sex while the beaded end is inserted anally, as provides a different sensation while inserted vaginally.

The temperature difference also makes the toy more enjoyable. We've only used it at room temperature so far, but felt cool going in... this was a great sensation.

This toy is super easy to clean, as nothing really sticks to it. It should be capable of working with any kind of lube; however, we only used it with water-based lubes.

We currently store it in the bag that came with the toy in a drawer of a dresser I bought for my closet to hold sex toys. I'm very careful to place it in the drawer and make sure that nothing is thrown into that drawer, since this is toy is glass and I don't want to risk it getting damaged as then would no longer be able to use the toy.

The toy came in a felt bag w/ bubble wrap inside. This seems a bit risky as it came through the USPS and they are horrible with shipping. But the bag w/ bubble wrap does offer a great way to store the toy and limit the likelihood of it being damaged during storage.
