The Laya will become a mainstay in your toy box

I think that this is a good basic clit vibe for a lot of women. It has a lot of speeds, a unique shape and is quiet but the vibes just didn't quite do it for me.

Pros:
Highly aesthetic and compact design, multiple speeds and functions, very quiet.
Cons:
Vibes weren't quite right for me.

useful review
LayaSpot by FunFactory was the first vibrator I bought that was designed for clitoral stimulation and not insertion. I chose this one because a friend recommended it in addition to its attractive design and reasonable price. Also, because I'm a FunFactory fan. I figured that this would be a good addition to my box-o-toys and would be well used in conjunction with my Gold ribbed G-spot wonder or Smart balls.

Like all of FunFactory's toys, this one came in a modern, highly aesthetic box with a sample of silicone-based lube. The LayaSpot is quite small and ergonomically designed, firm yet soft to the touch. I was very pleased with the appearance of my new toy. It is water proof and made of Elastomed, which means you can use silicone- or water-based lube and it cleans easily with antibacterial soap and water. The toy is very compact and efficient, only taking 2 AAA batteries.

Enough on the form, let's get to the function. Laya has numerous (5 or more) levels of consistent vibration that I found to be very powerful. The first speed is extremely mild, but I was happy with the second and third. Fourth and above were too much for me, but I don't like really high frequency vibes. You can either press the " " and "-" buttons to go up and down individual levels or hold these buttons until you reach your desired intensity. When you max out on the consistent vibration, it takes you to a pulsating effect, which has 3 speeds that have increasing frequency but not increasing intensity. Laya's L-shaped design allows it to rest right on you, with the active end on your clit and the other cradling your mons. I personally would have preferred for the buttons to be located on the less active end for easier control.

I wanted to really love this vibe, it looks great and feels great and has many different speeds, but it just didn't quite hit the spot like I had imagined. The rumbling of the first 2 speeds gets lost in higher speeds, emitting more of a buzzing feeling. These kinds of vibes just don't do it for me. They take a long time to get me to climax and leave me feeling a bit numb. The many attempts I gave Laya, it seemed to take me longer than usual to orgasm. However, one technique worked quite well for me although it's a bit complicated. I held the LayaSpot almost like a pen, cradling it above my middle and ring fingers with my thumb and pointed finger, thereby using it to send vibrations through my fingers while rubbing my clit.
Follow-up commentary
Well I must say, this thing has really grown on me. It has definitely become one of my regular go-to toys. The material is great and still looks brand new, and I haven't even run through one set of batteries!

I've enjoyed using it in conjunction with some of my other toys, most notably the Gold ribber g-spot wonder and Tantus Ryder. It's also fantastic by itself, when you want some more simple fun.

I really began to enjoy it when I stopped focusing it on my clit, and instead just enjoyed the whole shape resting over my clit and mons. It stimulates the entire region in a way that other clitoral vibrators could not.

In conclusion, the LayaSpot has been a highly worthwhile buy and I recommend it to all!

It's ok, even though it didn't quite live up to its expectations, I will still get some use out of it...wouldn't want it to go to waste!

I would like to suggest a different way to use this as the way you described is not how it was intended (I think - and I don't want to call it "wrong"). The information booklet shows the L curving over the mons, the tip stimulation the clit with nothing touching the vaginal opening. This might have worked better.

I do agree that more powerful (less buzzy, as you put it) vibes would be nicer but I found that the shape of this and pressing it against myself worked well even with the vibes off.

AR- Thanks for the clarification and you are absolutely right, the L-shape is designed to rest with the tip on the clitoris. However, I did enjoy moving the tip between my clit and vaginal opening, as I do with most of my toys.

Just wanted to add that I use my LayaSpot with my underwear on and it is amazing...it prevents the feeling of numbness that you describe.

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
