The We-Vibe Salsa is a must-have for any beginning and even experienced toy user. It was made for clitoral stimulation, but its uses go far beyond that! Any erogenous zone will love the extra burst of power. Great for nipples, clitoris, penis and just about anywhere else. Looking for a great multi-tasker? This is it. It's travel sized, discreet, and dishes out more power than expected for its size.

The Salsa is made from a hard plastic. While it's not the most eco-friendly material, it is hypoallergenic and phthalate free, which goes a long way and is long lasting. It's completely smooth except for small raised letters closer to where its power button is (the base), and where it says "We Vibe Salsa," but that is really not noticeable if you're looking at it. The power button is on a flat surface that has a small raised hump (the power button) and two magnet mounts (for the charger).

The plastic is very firm and durable. It doesn't even bend under pressure. There is no smell to it. The top of the Salsa is not sharp at all and can easily be put on the clitoris and other sensitive areas without hurting you or the area.

This also means it's easy to clean. A little soap and warm water, and it's clean. Dry it off and return it to the small, satin bag it came in. It's not dishwasher-safe and I would not recommend boiling it because it is electrical and too much heat will damage the insides.

The Salsa measures about 3.25" and its circumference is around 2". That being said, it's not very suitable for vaginal or anal insertion. It doesn't get very far in (making it hard to stimulate the spots people like) and once it's in, it may be hard to get back out. The size is perfect for its function. But for those who want more stimulation of deeper parts (penetration), this may not be the toy for you.

The design of the Salsa is different from the Tango. Instead of having a lipstick head like the Tango, it has a pointed tip like a standard bullet. The tip isn't painful by any means. The Salsa is also completely seamless and plain-looking. The eye just goes over it and no one thinks twice. I've left mine out a few times. The design allows me to hold it differently without it affecting the stimulation it delivers. The toy is very easy to hide, which can also make it easy to lose, so be careful! I took mine in my carry-on on a trip and the TSA thought nothing of it, so it can travel friendly.

When it comes to partner play, the Salsa is great. My boyfriend was a bit flimsy with it at first (it was his first time holding any toy) but when he got the hang of it it made the experience a billion times more enjoyable. We did not, however, use it during intercourse. I think the added movement of us and the fact that we changed positions a bunch of times, made it not ideal for use during intercourse and it would have faded out of use fast. If you could keep it in place, it would be great for pin-point stimulation but many, including me, don't want to put up with the hassle.

One of the best things about the Salsa is the amount of features it has! No more just low, medium, and high. The settings can test how spontaneous you're feeling or make a nice tease if you're doing partner play.

When I first used the toy, low was all I could take and now I have worked my way up to being able to use high every now and then, but medium is my favorite along with Ocean/Roller Coaster. I can't use the Cha Cha Cha because I eventually start dancing in my head to the music and it's a distraction. Tease and Pulse were my boyfriend's favorites when he got a hold of my Salsa.

Another awesome thing about the salsa? It remembers where you were! If you turn it off on high, then it saves your place and when you turn it on again it will be on high. Now, I have had a few times where I have turned it on and nearly jumped off my bed because I wasn't prepared for it, but I knew it was all in love.

I have used the toy in the shower and that's when it's at it's best. It's very quiet in the shower and still holds up to its power in the tub. Plus you can be extra lazy and just wash it while you're in the shower.

I'd also like to note that with extended use (25+ minutes) it can start getting warm/hot but it's not unbearable or anything.

The toy, charger, and charger adapter come with a white, satin bag that is easy to keep track of and keep stuff in. I keep it in its bag in my night stand. The small charger adapter might be the hardest thing to keep track of if everything was held separately so I keep it with the charger.

Before use, I charge it a little, I use it (this is if I have used it before), then I take it into the bathroom and wash it, rinse it, and dry it off and put it back in its bag. Charging can happen at any time, but I usually wait until before I use it because the charge can deplete over time. The smooth surface of the Salsa makes it amazing for cleaning since everything just slides right off.

If you had to use a lube, I would recommend a water based one. Plastics are very good at being nonreactive with many chemicals. So the use of oil, water, or silicone lubes should be fine but remember to wash it afterwards!

The Salsa comes in a nice sized box that's really pretty and simple. It doesn't come with a half naked woman on it or naughty things that would give someone else the idea (if someone else were to see the box) that it was for something naughty, initially, but an image of the Salsa IS on the front and it's a dead give away to anyone who looks closer at the box. The box isn't great for storage and We-Vibe knew that because they include a draw-string satin pouch for the Salsa and the charger. There aren't many instructions, just a small book that outlines the basics but it's nothing you can't figure out on your own.

The box is very perfect for gift wrapping since no one would have the slightest idea of what would be in it until they open it. The box shape is very unique.

Everything else about this toy is fantastic, but I must talk about the charger. The charger is a neat idea, but I have noticed that it's sort of cheap compared to the rest of the toy. With a flimsy wire, snatching at it and rough play might not be the best for it. Also, I have seen that the toy doesn't always charge completely when the light on the adapter goes out. If you unplug and replug it, the light will come back on. This isn't to say that the toy isn't mostly charged, but in order to get that 90-minute initial charge, I unplugged it and replugged it and noticed. All in all, the design would be very flawed if it had a plug-in charger, so the magnet charger adapter makes it worth it in the sake of design.

The reason why I gave this product 4 stars is because of the charger. The Salsa itself gets 5 stars but the charger gets about 3. Since the rechargeable feature is very important to how the toy works and one of the reasons why I bought the Salsa, it was enough to drop the score by a star.

The first time I used the toy, there was an unexpected occurrance -- the power was underestimated. I can see that if someone has a really sensitive clitoris, it might be too much. Anyway, I had been dealing with cheap $7-$10 bullet vibes with cords and it was a mess. To finally be able to enjoy myself for long periods of time was a blessing. I'll often go 2-4 orgasms just because I know the toy can give it to me.

My We-Vibe is mostly something I got for my boyfriend and I to enjoy together. Since we are in a long distance relationship, we enjoy each other over the phone a lot. He got to use the toy on me when I went to see him and he can control the settings (because I have to listen to him) from over the phone. It also can stand the test of time because our sessions can last up to 1 hour and I love it. It hasn't lost power and it's only gone out on me once when I forgot to charge.

I also have used the toy in a public setting, and on low and medium. It has been a very nice contender for silence and discretion.

Plus, I save on rechargeable batteries! I used to have to charge them up a lot more often than I do now.
