We-Vibe’s Salsa is a bullet with some serious power. I have been lusting after this bullet for a while. I’m on the hunt for a bullet that is powerful and rechargeable! I stumbled across the Salsa and decided to take it for a spin.

Bullets are very versatile. You can use them on erogenous zones, or even better your clitoris. Please, do not use this anally! This thing is so small it would get lost fast! I wouldn’t advise using it vaginally since it is super tiny. It would be hard to control if you tried to thrust with it.

For the most part, I am in love with this bullet. My only complaint is that the speed decreases when you apply pressure to it. Is it my perfect bullet? No, but I have high standards and will probably never find a bullet as strong and rechargeable as the salsa. I definitely recommend it to you if you are on the hunt for a powerful, rechargeable bullet. This bullet is suitable for beginners to advanced users.

The Salsa is made out of hard plastic. There is no bend or flexibility to it, perfect for a bullet. It rates an 8 out of 10 on Eden Fantasy’s Safety Scale. It is hypoallergenic and latex free. There is no smell to it. It is very smooth and slick to the touch with absolutely no texture. Even with little drag, I would still add a little drop of lubricant. It doesn’t attract any hair or lint. I found no seams on the bullet.

The Salsa is available in red, black, and white. I purchased the red version. In my opinion, the red color is more of a burnt red or reddish orange.

The Salsa is designed like the typical bullet. It is very small and has a pointed tip for pinpoint simulation. I also own the Crystal High Intensity Bullet. Here are the two side by side. They are identical in size.



Salsa is only 3 ½” long. It’s amazing that something so small can be so powerful. It’s very thin with a circumference of 2” and a diameter of 5/8”. The website lists the insertable length at 3”. I wouldn’t personally insert it since it’s so small. The size is perfect for any user. It’s easy to hold, although my hand can cramp up after a while since I’m scrunching to hold it.



The Salsa is the perfect vibe to travel with! You can charge her right before a short trip, and not have to worry about taking everything with her. She is really easy to hide.

Rechargeable Feature

On the bottom there two little metal nubs next to the button. There is a magnetic base that attaches to the bottom. It’s really small and could get lost easily. I wish it were attached to the ac adapter. Although it does snap on pretty well, it can wobble a bit when you put it on a hard surface. You have to lay it on its side (which can make it roll a bit). There is a little blinking orang light when it’s charging. It’s done charging when the light has stopped.



To charge the Salsa, put the magnetic base on and insert the cord on the bottom of it. The manual suggests charging it 90 minutes before you try it first. I highly recommend this! Firstly, it isn’t charged when it arrives. I had charged it for around 30 minutes; I really wanted to use it so I took it off. Well, after a little bit of time it died since I hadn’t charged it enough. Go figure, my toys always seem to die on my right when I’m about to climax. After having to charge it a few times, it takes at least an hour to 90 minutes for a complete charge.

I’m not too thrilled with the battery life. After I use it for one or two sessions with a total of an hour at the highest speed, the Salsa dies. This isn’t the biggest deal in the world since I can recharge it. It usually lasts me one to two sessions so I’m happy. If you use it at the highest speed for quite some time, I would charge it. A few times I didn’t and then the next time I used it died during use (really frustrating when you’re close to climax).

Settings & Button

There are a lot of options with this bullet. There are even patterns which is great if you are looking for a bullet with patterns (there aren’t a lot out there).

1-4: increasing Steady Vibration
5. Random pulse patterns
6. Escalating up then down
7. Fast pulses
8. Two slow pulses followed by three fast pulses.

The bottom of the Salsa is white with a raised button in the middle. I really love this button! I first thought that pressing the button would be really hard during playtime. However, I found the button very easy to press. You simply press your thumb down in the general area and it will respond. To operate this bullet, simply press the button. If you wish to turn off the bullet, simply hold down the button. Just to note, it does remember the last setting you operated. So, when you turn it on it goes to the last setting used. Also, if you tap the button to go through each setting, it will turn off after the last pattern.

This bullet is very strong! It’s comparable to most bullets with batteries. It lights up orange in use near the base. During the patterns, it flashes with the pattern. I’m giving it a solid vroom of 4. It’s also not terribly loud. It is quieter than your typical bullet with batteries. I’m giving it a bee of 2. At its highest setting you could hear it through covers. I even tested it and couldn’t hear it through a closed door at its highest setting.

Applying Pressure

My biggest issue with the bullet is when I apply pressure. With other bullets, I usually put a lot of pressure on my clit to get the most power. It’s how I like my vibrators: very pinpointed. Well, as soon as you press the salsa against your clitoris (or other area) the power goes down dramatically. It drives me nuts! I’m so used to putting pressure on my toys, but I have to restrain myself when using the Salsa. I found the best way to avoid this issue is to place it very softly so it’s hardly touching. I’m so used to the old way that I want to go back to what I’m used to. I’m giving it four vrooms instead of five because of the pressure issue. As soon as you press the Salsa, the vroom goes down by at least .5-1. One good thing is that when you apply pressure it isn’t as loud.

IF the Salsa didn’t have this issue, it would be my perfect bullet. I sometimes choose the Eden Basic Bullet because its power does not decrease with pressure. Having said all that, I still really love the Salsa. Nothing can be perfect, and this is nearly perfect for my situation.

It’s Waterproof!

The Salsa is waterproof making cleaning a breeze. You can take it in the shower or tub and don’t have to worry about getting water on it. I love this feature because I don’t have to avoid the battery compartment when cleaning.

The Salsa is waterproof so you can simply wash it in warm water and soap. You can also use a wipe. This bullet is plastic so you SHOULD be able to use this with a water based or silicone lubricant. For some reason, the manual says you should only use a water-based lubricant. It doesn’t say why and I don’t know. I only used a water based lubricant anyway.

I really like the storage bag. It’s a nice quality and stays closed very well. It easily fits all your Salsa items inside. It’s soft and silky to the touch.

The pressure issue drives me nuts and could bother other people as well. I’m rating it four stars instead of five for that reason. If you could care less about applying pressure, this toy is perfect for you. However, that’s really my only issue with it. I love it and still use it on a frequent basis. I love using it when I pair a dildo vaginally. I don’t have to worry about the control pack of other vibrators getting in the way. I can thrust and hold the Salsa to my clitoris with ease. I have gotten used to the pressure issue and it doesn’t bother me as much since my first time with it.
