Salsa is best used on the clitoris, nipples, or for all over body stimulation. It should not be used anally, it is to narrow and smooth, as well as lacking a base. While Salsa can be used for some vaginal stimulation, it is very shallow, and I recommend being cautious for the same reasons.

I find Salsa best kept to bed or the bath tub. Using Salsa while in the shower and standing could be tricky when things are wet. And dropping it on a ceramic or tile bottom could be bad.

I do think the Salsa is good for everyone, but some beginners might find the vibrations strength too much at first.

Salsa is made from hard, smooth, shiny plastic. It is non-porous and phthalate-free, ranking at an 8 on the material safety scale. It is smooth to the touch with little drag over the skin and is safe to use with water-based, oil, and silicone lubes. It has no odor or taste.

Salsa is 3 and 1/4 inches long and 5/8 of an inch wide. The base is a fraction wider at 6/8 of an inch. But I find that slight flare comes in handy for holding it while in use. It also has 'We-Vibe Salsa' around the base in barely felt raised letters. Barely even legible unless you angle and turn it just so in the light. But again, it comes in handy, giving you something slightly textured to grip on an otherwise smooth vibe.

Salsa is definitely travel friendly it takes up very little space, even with the charger, in its storage bag. It is excellent for trips you can just toss it into you bag and go.

Salsa is rechargeable via a magnetic connection that makes it 100% waterproof.

The button to turn the Salsa on/off and cycle through the 8 vibration patterns is located on the head between the two magnetic contact points. It's easy to get to while the Salsa is in use, and easy to press.

The vibrations are felt throughout the Salsa, but they are located in, and strongest at, the tip.

The Salsa is very strong, from 3000 to 4800 revs per minute. That's a lot of 'vroom' for a vibe that is only two bees noisy. Not to mention there is very little buzz; the Salsa rumbles nicely.

The best thing about this toy is its memory function. Simply hold down the button down for three seconds to turn Salsa off. When you turn Salsa back on, it turns on to the same pattern from when it was turned off. You won't have to cycle through all the patterns if you have a favorite.

Salsa doesn't lose power under water or when applying pressure with it in use. And it gets a good two hours of use out of an hour and a half charging time.

Cleaning up after Salsa is a breeze. Warm water and mild soap do the trick. Or toy cleaner wipes.

You don't want to throw it in the dishwasher or boil it. That could damage its internal motor and mechanisms.

For storage, you can either use the box it comes in, or the storage bag it comes with. I personally use the storage bag.

In the box was the plastic casing holding Salsa and the magnetic connector in place, with a square piece of cardboard over that to keep the box from getting smashed in. The charger and the drawstring pouch were in a second box inside of the first, and under that was the instruction manual, of which only two pages matter. The rest all say the same thing, just in a variety of languages.


The box shows the vibe and clearly states what it is, but overall I still find the box discreet, though not the best for storage. I prefer using the storage pouch.

There are a few things I wish were different, but they are minor.

I wish the toy had a soft coat matte finish. It's my personal preference in terms of visual aesthetic, and I find that a soft coat matte finish has less drag and feels more natural against my skin.

I also don't understand why the charger is two separate pieces. As design choices go, it is an odd one. Especially since the magnetic connector is round. Seems as though it could easily roll away and be lost if someone isn't careful.

So for me, it's really 4.5 stars. But since half stars aren't an option, I've rounded up. There is no real good reason not too. A four just doesn't do it justice.

Salsa is my first We-Vibe, and boy did we vibe! I had Salsa out of the box and charging the moment it arrived on my doorstep. Waiting for it to charge was torture. But the wait was worth it. I haven't orgasmed that easily ever.

But it wasn't a quick one either. Nice steady build up and then... I think you get the idea. I tried all eight settings. My favorite steady vibration is the medium, and my favorite pattern is the wave.

Salsa feels really good and puts my other two vibes to shame.

There are a few other vibes out there I'm interested in trying, but for now I'm quite content to take my time learning to Salsa.
