Astroglide - lubricant by BioFilm - review by Two Loves

Astroglide is one of the standards for lubrication. It is great for an everyday lube, good, but not great, for anal, and water based so it is compatible with all toys. Due to a few minor drawbacks it is not the best for anything oral but works for almost anything else.

Astroglide is very slippery and has a very high viscosity. The slippery part is good but the high viscosity can be a bit of a hassle. when you turn the bottle up it really pours out in a hurry and if you are not careful it will run right through your fingers. Also due the high viscosity it tends not to stay where you put it for long as it runs all over the place.

The aroma of Astroglide is unmistakable, I can walk into a room hours later and still smell that we used Astroglide. It is not a terribly bad smell but not very good either after a little while you do get used to it. As for the taste of Astroglide, it is terrible, to me it feels like it coats your tongue with this awful flavor that just will not go away for a while. So if at all possible avoid getting this in your mouth as it will not be a pleasant experience.

Because of the high viscosity Astroglide runs all over the place, due to this it does not last very long. For inserting a toy such a butt plug that stays in Astroglide works pretty well but if you are doing a lot of moving such as for sex you will have to keep constantly reapplying. Washing off Astroglide is fairly simple just soap and water will do the trick. Pretty much the same is true for fabrics, just wash them as normal and everything should come out we have never had a problem with it staining anything.
