Astroglide became my lube of choice quite by accident. After experiences with KY and similar lubes, I knew I needed something more substantial; the other lubes were drying out too easily. I looked about and unsurprisingly found Astroglide. Mainly, I use it for anal play, but it's also good for vaginal intercourse. It lubricates condoms well and can also be used on its own.

Since Astroglide doesn't dry out as easily as other water-based lubes, it doesn't need to be reapplied as much. It also proves to be somewhat water resistant, but you'll still may end up using a lot in the shower depending on how wet you're actually getting.

I've touched on the feel of Astroglide a bit. It doesn't smell like anything and I haven't had a reason to taste it. In fact, I don't recommend tasting it. In short, this isn't what you want if flavor is on the menu. When applied, it feels cool or warm depending on where it's stored. My bed's drawers are always cool, so the lube is cool. You can't do actual temperature play, but you can fudge around with it a bit.

On the negative side, some may find it a bit too sticky. I have never had problems with it, personally or with another, but I can see someone more sensitive having this issue. The trade-off with the stickiness is that it doesn't dry out like I stated above.

From my experience, this is the best comparison I can make: KY is like water, Astroglide is like jam. Depending on your needs Astroglide may not be for you. I find this comparison to help the few I have spoken with personally.

As a note, I have included the mark of 1 Vroom. This is because of the squishy sounds usually attributed to lube.

I still like it. It still does its job and it's still easy to obtain. If you're looking for a common lube, I still recommend Astroglide.
