Use

It’s a lube, water based. OK to use alone male or female, couples play, anal play. It’s safe to use with toys or condoms. You can buy this product at pretty much any grocery store or local pharmacy. You may even find it at some convenience stores. Astroglide has been around since 1982. It was actually developed by scientists who were working on the cooling system of the space shuttle at Edwards Air Force base.

Texture/Consistency/Thickness

This stuff is actually a jelly type consistency - you know “the stuff you put on your toast”. It’s not runny. When you squeeze the bottle you actually have to remove the dollop from the bottle or shake the bottle. This is especially true if you haven’t used it for a while.

I noted that is produced by Bio Film. Boy, that is true to name since it leaves a film. It doesn’t absorb, it leaves a film even after being wiped off. It doesn’t mix nicely with my natural juices.

This lube is extremely sticky and tacky. Those qualities only seem to get worse with heat and friction. This may work for the shuttle but not for me. It becomes goop that is coating the inside of your legs.

Methyl Paraben
Sodium Benzoate

The glycerin is a sugar derivative common ingredient in most lubes on the market. It can cause UTI’s and
yeast infections.

Parabens are a preservative that are commonly used in cosmetics, toothpastes, make up and moisturizers. It is used to prohibit the growth of bacteria and fungus. Some users may be hyper sensitive to these and they can cause allergic reactions.

Taste/Smell

How about Yuck! Awful chemically taste - definitely not for use with any oral. It smells like a lightly scented soap. The smell quickly dissipates and when cleaning the goop off I haven’t noticed the smell. It doesn't taste that that jelly for the toast.

Performance

This thicker, tackier, sticky lube doesn’t perform well. First you squeeze the bottle, shake off the dollop onto your lady bits and your man. Once you start rubbing it in it becomes tackier (is that possible to be tackier?). It seems to dry quickly so you apply more and more, You have your wonderful heated lovemaking session. You are lying in bed in your after glow and your crotch feels like you have gum, jelly for your toast, taffy, goop and it’s sticking to your thighs too. You grab the towel and wipe it off. The larger particles are gone but, you still feel like you have it on you. Hence the “film”. It doesn’t feel soft, it doesn’t moisturize. Then you realize that you also have it on your left breast where your lover touched you. Ah screw it! You have to get up and take a shower.

If you use a glass toy with the astro glide with a glass toy and then set it out to air, you can see the film/residue on the glass.
Packaging

Comes in a see through bottle so you can see how much you have used. It has a flip top cap to obtain your dollop of goop. If you get the lube on the outside of the bottle it gets a film and becomes sticky too. It comes in a 2.5 oz and 5 oz bottle. The label states that it is not a spermicidal and is not contraception method. This is not discrete but it is travel friendly. Make sure you put it in a baggy so it doesn’t end up on your other items.

As previously described above, unless you like to feel like you have gooey stuff stuck to you. Skip this one and get yourself a better quality lube. I suppose you could use it as a torture device with BDSM. I am so glad I found Eden and got educated.

It did fly right out the door into the trash, Don't need this any more!! There are just so many better quality lubes here on Eden.
