Some of it, but not all! We've actually gotten some of our best ideas from porn, or at least seen real examples of how they work in real life. For examples: pegging and bdsm. But there's other stuff that we (or at least I) have enjoyed watching, but would never want to actually try.

I actually didn't watch porn back when I was dating... I watched the occasional risque movie but not all out porn... My male friends know I watch porn - not specifically what kind but they give no shits.

I have an "open book" policy with my wife on the porn I watch. She's always welcome to watch anything of mine. She HAS sometimes been a little creeped out (or maybe "overwhelmed" would be more accurate) by some of the things I like. Oddly, it's not the femdom or other bdsm stuff that she finds hard to take - it's mainstream hardcore porn. She finds the explicit sex, especially the focus on the genitals, very unappealing.
