I've seen it done before actually, someone on deviantart tied a basic shibari body harness on this gorgeous model (she looked hispanic, but her facial features weren't showing so it was hard to tell) using red and black rope...it looked awesome. :3
I would probably combine colors, but not really more than two.

I've never thought about combining them. I have the purple so if I was combining, I'd add black to it.
