We havent tried one of these yet but the cheaper ones look so ick and from what i read dont give much of a sting. I love hurting people so im fine with ether one but my bf thats into pain im not sure which would be best because we havent experimented enough to see whats to much pain. Whicj gives a good sting but can be good for us beginers?

Oh, this is a good question, because it really depends on WHAT feel you want. Overall, Sparticus Loves Cleo is a much sturdier, heavy build. It will give you a hard, hard thud. But its tails are scalloped, so it's more of a thuddy pain than a stingy pain like you're looking for. HOWEVER, the intensity of the thud is much more than the intensity of the Hearts Leather Whip. The Hearts model is a different company with tails cut into points, so they do provide a bit of sting but are overall lightweight and low-intensity. It works, sure, but if what you're looking for is a model that's higher on the intensity spectrum, go with the Sparticus Loves Cleo.

I bought the Sparticus Loves Cleo for a friend and it is absolutely stunning. Heafty, gorgeous, just a well crafted piece.

Hearts one is SUPER cushy (very soft smooth leather) and just gorgeous looking, provides a good sting though you have to consider who will be using it, in the right hands I'm sure it's a wonderful flogger (I own it but have not had it used on me aside from myself on various limbs), I would second what Sir said to a tee as its probably pretty darn accurate. I plan on ordering the Sparticus one very shortly so will have an opinion on both soon....
as to what a thud feels like, best examples I could think of off hand would be a thick binder front (not both sides, just one by itself) hitting you at full 'swing' or a thick sturdy work belt but without much of a sting (like when the end hits you).

Honestly, I would try to find someone in the community who has whips like the ones you are looking to get so you can try them out. As the sadist, I do suggest you try the whip out with your own swing against your own thigh so you know how they feel. A leather whip with tougher falls will give more of a sting than a suede or rope flogger, which will give a more of a thud feeling on impact.
It all depends on the feelings you want to create from the flogging. It is always a good idea to have a variety of whips that each create a different sensation
So you know how the whip you are using feels, always try a whip on your own thigh or arm before using it on your masochist so you know how to swing the whip in order to get the response you are going for.
