My guy(and Dominant) and I don't own any impact toys like whips, floggers, canes, crops, etc yet...but we have played around with a flogger and a crop a little bit, and know we want to eventually get both. Neither of us are sure which one we want to purchase first, so I thought I'd leave it up to you... ^_^

Crop-it's easier to get the hang of crops than floggers in terms of the impact you inflict.

If you're new and want immediate play, go with the crop. Easier to target and control, unless you're only using the flogger as an across the arse type impact. I'd also suggest considering straps, since it sounds like you're leaning towards stingy more than thuddy.

Riding crops are a better bet for beginning doms and subs alike. Crops are easy both to wield and to vary the sensations for the bottom. For said bottoms, crops proivde lovely and varied impact play, and can go anywhere from mild pain to deep thudding pain. Go for the crop!

I think crops are fun because mine is thuddy AND snappy. I like my flogger but I think the crop is more satisfying (or my partner is just better at using it)

Crop can be more intense but it's easier to control it too in my opinion...

I think crops are a bit easier to control over all with where they hit, but they can hit a bit hrder without you realizing it. Plus i think they just look cuter.

Riding crops, and if you feel like getting creative (and your body and the material can both handle it) you might be able to use it for a light caning as well.

I'd go with the Black and Blue because it distributes the impact over a wider area you can use a wider range of force.

I say get the crop first, Its easier to control and get the desired feel and sting your are looking for.

I say start with the crop, work up to the flogger. Crops are easier to be precise with and you have to get used to wielding a flogger before using it on a partner.
