Where should I get the best rope, how much rope should I ask for, and what type of rope should I get (ie type of material)?

I feel like I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about types and places, and wanted to know y'alls opinions.

I beg to differ. Eden has ok bondage rope, if you are looking for nylon/blends. The 'silk' rope they sell is not silk. It's a blend, and definitely not safe for suspension.

Most riggers agree that good rope is made of natural fibers (hemp and jute are the most commonly used).

Maui Kink and Twisted Monk both make amazing bondage rope. Yes, it's pricier, but it is worth it in the long run.

As for lengths, 25-30 ft lengths are great! You're not stuck feeding pieces of rope through a loop forever, unlike 50 ft lengths, and if you need more rope you can always add on another 25 ft length to the one you're using.

It seems like you are just starting out, and not looking to suspend someone. Nylon rope is pretty soft to get you started and try out some stuff to see how you like it. Try just getting at least 10 feet at any store that sells rope and see how you like it and how you want to use it. Then, you can figure out what kind of rope you need for specific types of bondage.
